Mygration Pty Ltd is engaged by our client Located in Moonta, SA, 5558 has engaged us to recruit a Full-time Nursing Support Worker for a base salary within the range of $76,550 to $78,500 per year, depending on skill level. In addition, overtime and penalty rates are also available plus superannuation.
br>Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Nursing Support Worker to join our aged care team. In this hands-on role, you'll provide essential clinical and personal care support to residents while working closely with nursing and therapy teams to ensure the highest standards of care.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Clinical & Care Support:
• ssist residents with daily living activities including personal hygiene, mobility, and meal assistance while promoting independence < r>• M asure and record vital signs, weight, and fluid intake/output as directed < r>• S pport medication management by reminding residents and assisting with medication administration under nurse supervision < r>• A sist with basic wound care, applying dressings, and reporting any changes to nursing staff < r>
2. Therapy & Rehabilitation Assistance:
• I plement prescribed therapy plans including gentle exercises and mobility support < r>• A sist occupational therapists and physiotherapists during treatment sessions < r>• S pport dementia care by implementing behaviour management strategies < r>
3. Documentation & Reporting:
• M intain accurate electronic and paper records of care provided < r>• D cument changes in resident conditions, behaviours, or care needs < r>• C mplete incident reports and risk assessments when required < r>
4. Resident Wellbeing & Engagement:
• P ovide emotional support through active listening and meaningful conversation < r>• E courage resident participation in social activities and community programs < r>• A vocate for resident rights and preferences in all care decisions < r>
5. Safety & Compliance:
• F llow infection control protocols including proper hand hygiene and PPE use < r>• A sist with manual handling using correct equipment and techniques < r>• R port maintenance issues, hazards, or near misses promptly < r>
What They’re Looking For: < r>• Cer ificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent < r>• 1 years of full-time experience in aged care or disability support < r>• N IS Worker Screening Clearance (issued within last 5 years) is preferable < r>• C rrent flu vaccination & COVID-19 immunisation < r>• R liable transport < r>• C mpassionate nature with strong communication skills < r>• T am player who thrives in collaborative environments < r>
