The Honeywell Software Centre (HSC) is a global software development center for Honeywell and recognized as a leader in the development of world class software products for industrial automation and building automation. The Sydney Design Studio is part of Honeywells global User Experience Design organization and provides design activities for Honeywell Software Centre and other key development locations.
You will join our team that is responsible for the design of the HMI for Honeywell's worldwide flagship automation systems. Your role is to apply your user experience design and front-end software skills to help continually improve our human computer interaction design.
This position reports to the Sydney User Experience Design Studio Director. You will be responsible for user experience design on major Honeywell Process Solutions products and systems. You will work with other designers in an interdisciplinary studio to create the framework and best practices for world-class design. Together, we will create design strategies, develop advanced design concepts and deliver outstanding products to market that delight our end users.
+ Developing a deep understanding of users needs;
+ Leading UX on major projects, working with other UX designers across the businesses and collaborating with external design partners.
+ Providing a clear, consistent voice on end-to-end user experience design to project teams and stakeholders.
+ Creating and executing user-centered designs for products and services that differentiate our brands in the marketplace around the world.
+ Building low fidelity, high fidelity and functional user interface prototypes;
+ Expert-reviewing graphical user interfaces and UI designs
+ Participating in the product usability testing process by collaborating on test plans, attending test sessions, and developing design solutions.
+ Executing UX best practices throughout the product development process.
+ Collaborating with other UX disciplines, including graphic design, interaction design, and usability specialists in nurturing a world-class organization.
+ Collaborating with software development teams to deliver product releases to meet functional, quality and schedule goals
+ 5-7 years of experience in digital product design
+ Experience designing UX including but not limited to: personas, user journeys, functional designs
+ Experience designing UIs including wireframes, prototyping, and visual design concepts
+ Experience with multi-platform development, including responsive design
+ Passion to develop high-quality and intuitive User Interfaces
+ Strong portfolio of applying user-centered design practices in product development.
+ Demonstrated experience; successfully scoping, planning and executing projects in accordance with a phases and gates development process.
+ Demonstrated experience leading, developing and managing significant user experience design projects.
+ Experience in design strategy, trends and how they apply to brand and product planning.
+ Experience in evaluating products using: design trends, heuristic reviews, competitive benchmarking, formative and summative usability studies.
+ Demonstrable talent in developing industry-leading user interface designs.
+ Experience creating low-fidelity to high-fidelity user interface models and prototypes.
+ Fluent with design and prototyping tools, e.g., Figma
+ Ability to tackle and define solutions, frameworks and patterns for complex problems and use cases for different user profiles in the IoT space.
+ Web design or scripting skills for developing interactive prototypes
+ Best practice understanding and experience with HTML and CSS

Urgent requirement of  User Experience Designer – Contract – Canberra RequirementsAMSA is seeking an experienced UX / UI designer to support the delivery of a new customer portal for near coastal seafarers. As part of an agile delivery team, and connected to a mature in-house UX team, the successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the end user experience for customers engaging with AMSA at a transactional level. Essential skills and experience Demonstrated experience in leading user experience design for digital products and services, especially in the B2C web application space.Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering information architectures, wireframes, user interface and visual designs, and design asset libraries. A strong portfolio of successful user experience projects is required.Demonstrated experience in conducting user research and user testing using visual tools, analytics and evidence to map user journeys and drive improvement.Demonstrated experience working in multidisciplinary teams and building effective stakeholder relationships in a rapid change environment.Demonstrated ability to articulate your vision and design recommendations, collaborate with influence and advocate for a user centred design approach.Ability to articulate and apply the Digital Service Standard, Agile methodology and WCAG 2.0/2.1 AA. Ability to work in an embedded agile delivery team, translating UX strategy and concepts into meaningful and deliverable products. Desirable criteria Tertiary qualifications in a field such as human centred design, behavioural psychology, product/project management, information technology or significant experience in these fields.Experience in large scale digital transformations.
