About Uniting Pacifica Nambucca Heads:
Uniting Pacifica, Nambucca Heads is set across four storeys, each with resident bedrooms and communal spaces, including lounges, dining rooms, and kitchenettes. On the ground floor, there’s a secure Memory Support Unit for people living with dementia. Our Leisure and Wellness Team ensures that the community is thriving and doing things that are meaningful and enjoyable.
Role Overview:
Our Wellness Officers embody inspired care and are the heartbeat of the team. You’ll enhance the physical and social well-being of our residents by providing opportunities for connection and community building.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and seek out opportunities to connect clients with social and wellness activities.
- Collaborate with the care team to help residents set and achieve their goals.
- Build rapport with residents and families that will encourage recreational interests and make their dignity and independence a top priority
- Support residents with health and wellness activities, to enable participation in the community
Qualifications & Experience:
- Certificate III in Individual Support or Above.
- Ideally, we’re looking for previous experience in aged/community care or Lifestyle programs in Aged Care
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills and a gift for working collaboratively with your team
- Great organisation and time management skills, and confidence using various technologies including documentation systems, email and mobile phones.
- You’ll need to be resilient and resourceful and be able to live our values of compassion, respect, imagination, and boldness every day.

Elizabeth Gates - nestled in the peaceful rural township of the Hunter Valley region, a welcoming aged care home in an intimate community of 84 residents.

As the Safety and Wellness Manager for Asia Pacific, you will be an integral part of the Human Resources team, reporting directly to the Vice President, Human Resources, Internal Communications & Customer Experience. In this strategic leadership role, you will drive a proactive and high-performance safety and wellness culture, directly impacting the well-being of 4,500 employees and contractors across the region. **How You'll Shine:**
+ **Lead Safety and Wellness Excellence:** Drive a culture of safety and wellness across the region, representing Health, Safety, Wellness, Risk, and Continuous Improvement at executive forums, including Board and Risk & Audit Committees.
+ **Strategic Framework Development:** Design and implement a comprehensive Wellbeing Framework, covering physical, mental, emotional, social, and workplace well-being, with a focus on sustainable and measurable outcomes.

+ **Digital Transformation:** Drive adoption of digital safety and risk management platforms (e.g., Donesafe), enhancing user engagement and accountability.
+ **Injury Management Leadership:** Lead best-practice injury management, early intervention, and return-to-work programs, reducing injury costs and improving outcomes.
+ **Vendor Management:** Build strategic partnerships with external providers, including EAP services, drug and alcohol testing, and health service providers.
+ **Continuous Improvement:** Conduct internal audits, ensuring compliance with safety and risk standards and implementing best-practice improvements.
+ **Business Continuity Planning:** Contribute to the Business Continuity Committee, ensuring employee safety and resilience during operational disruptions.

**What You'll Bring**
+ Extensive experience in a senior safety, wellness, or risk leadership role within a multi-jurisdictional or global environment.
+ Strong understanding of WHS legislation, risk management frameworks, and psychosocial safety obligations across Australia and Asia.
+ Proven success in designing and implementing large-scale wellbeing programs with measurable impact.
+ Demonstrated cross-cultural leadership skills, with the ability to adapt safety and wellness strategies to diverse cultural contexts across the Asia Pacific region.
+ Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills across all organizational levels.
+ Experience managing external providers and service delivery contracts (e.g., EAP, D&A testing).
+ Advanced problem-solving skills with a focus on prevention, early intervention, and continuous improvement.
+ Proficiency with digital safety and wellness systems (e.g., Donesafe) and data-driven decision-making.
+ Relevant qualifications in Work Health & Safety, Risk Management, or a related field.
