Position Overview:


As a Care Worker, you will provide compassionate, person-centred care to residents living in our aged care facility. Your support enables residents to retain independence and maximise their quality of life in a safe and nurturing environment.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Personal Care & Daily Living: Assist residents with personal hygiene, including showering, toileting, grooming, dressing, oral hygiene and skin care.
  • Mobility: Support mobility and safe transfers using hoists or walking aids while encouraging independence.
  • Mealtime & Nutrition Assistance: Aid residents during mealtimes including feeding support and monitoring dietary needs using appropriate adaptive methods.
  • Support Health & Wellbeing: Support residents with chronic conditions, early palliative care needs or cognitive impairment such as dementia, while maintaining dignity and comfort.
  • Clinical Support: Assist with medication administration, observing vital signs, reporting any health concerns promptly to nursing staff and supporting residents with basic health monitoring tasks under direction.
  • Emotional & Social Connection: Provide companionship, meaningful conversations and emotional presence to reduce isolation and promote well-being.
  • Documentation & Communication: Maintain accurate records of care provided, incidents, health changes, medication logs, resident preferences and communicate effectively with residents, families and healthcare professionals.
  • Household & Environmental Support: Perform household duties such as cleaning to ensure safe and tidy shared spaces.
  • Safety & Compliance: Create a hazard-free environment and promptly raise concerns regarding resident safety or wellbeing. Comply with the Aged Care Code of Conduct, Quality Standards and Confidentiality.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with Registered Nurses, Allied Health and Lifestyle coordinators to deliver holistic multidisciplinary care.


Qualifications & Experience:


  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing), equivalent qualification or working towards.
  • Medication competency (Desirable not mandatory)
  • Previous experience in Aged Care or Community Care. (Preferred not mandatory)
  • Be adaptable, empathetic, and resourceful, and you will be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.

Qualifications & Experience:

Role Overview:


The Nurse Practitioner (NP) a critical role in delivering advanced, holistic, person-cantered care to older adults in Uniting Senior Services including Residential Aged Care and Home and Community Care. The NP works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to assess, diagnose, treat, and manage health conditions, particularly focusing on chronic disease management, preventative health, and complex care needs in the aged care setting. You will have the proven ability to lead and coordinate service strategies in functional areas that include:

  • Ensure integration and collaboration across Uniting programs to deliver seamless and impactful end-to-end services with the consumers at the centre
  • Develop and promote positive relations with patients, nursing peers, medical practitioners, allied health, and community.

  • Ensure nursing compliance with federal/state legislation, nursing competency standards, practice policies, and procedures.
  • Contribute to staff and patient safety systems that meet contemporary clinical standards and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.
  • Consumer case management within own scope of practice.
  • Provide management of long-term conditions / chronic disease management in line with national guidelines and pathways.
  • Assess and manage various wounds, coordinating with other healthcare professionals when necessary.
  • Oversee monitoring of psychotropic medications; adopting an evidence based best practice approach to minimising restrictive practice /chemical restraint for Consumers of Aged Care.


Qualifications & Experience:


  • Registered Nurse with AHPRA endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner (or working towards endorsement)
  • Eligible for Medicare and PBS provider numbers
  • Professional Indemnity Insurance
  • Current Class C Driver’s Licence
  • Minimum 5 years’ advanced clinical nursing experience with proven expertise in assessment, diagnostics, and chronic disease management
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, mentoring capability, and experience driving quality improvement

Role Overview:


As a Registered Nurse at Uniting Goonellabah, you will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional person -centred care to our residents. Your clinical expertise and compassionate approach will ensure that each resident received the highest standard of care tailored to their individual needs.


Key Responsibilities:


•Clinical Leadership: Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of comprehensive care plans, ensuring they reflect the unique needs and preferences of each resident.
•Clinical Assessment & Service Delivery: Utilise advanced clinical assessment skills to provide high-quality nursing services including medication administration, wound care, and monitoring of vital signs.
Resident Relationships: Build meaningful relationships with residents, becoming a trusted and integral part of their daily lives.
•Goal-Orientated Care: Collaborate with residents, families, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure care plans align with individual goals and enhance quality of life.
•Advocacy & Communication: Act as a liaison between residents, families and health professionals advocating for residents’ rights and preferences.
Team Collaboration & Supervision: Provide guidance and support to other Nurses, Care Workers fostering a collaborative and cohesive team environment.
•Holistic Practise: Apply critical thinking and evidence-based practices to deliver holistic care, addressing the physical, emotional and social needs of residents.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant legislation, standards and facility policies including the Aged Care Quality Standards.



Qualifications & Experience:
•Hold a Bachelor of Nursing degree with current registration (AHPRA).
•You’ll be adaptable, empathetic, resourceful, a great time manager, and be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to changing priorities.
•Empathy, resilience, and a genuine passion for enhancing the lives of older residents.
•Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities.
•Previous Registered Nursing experience in aged or community care is highly desirable however we welcome applications from nurses with experience in other healthcare settings who are passionate about transitioning into Aged Care.

Position Overview:


As a Care Worker, you will provide compassionate, person-centred care to residents living in our aged care facility. Your support enables residents to retain independence and maximise their quality of life in a safe and nurturing environment.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Personal Care & Daily Living: Assist residents with personal hygiene, including showering, toileting, grooming, dressing, oral hygiene and skin care.
  • Mobility: Support mobility and safe transfers using hoists or walking aids while encouraging independence.
  • Mealtime & Nutrition Assistance: Aid residents during mealtimes including feeding support and monitoring dietary needs using appropriate adaptive methods.
  • Support Health & Wellbeing: Support residents with chronic conditions, early palliative care needs or cognitive impairment such as dementia, while maintaining dignity and comfort.
  • Clinical Support: Assist with medication administration, observing vital signs, reporting any health concerns promptly to nursing staff and supporting residents with basic health monitoring tasks under direction.
  • Emotional & Social Connection: Provide companionship, meaningful conversations and emotional presence to reduce isolation and promote well-being.
  • Documentation & Communication: Maintain accurate records of care provided, incidents, health changes, medication logs, resident preferences and communicate effectively with residents, families and healthcare professionals.
  • Household & Environmental Support: Perform household duties such as cleaning to ensure safe and tidy shared spaces.
  • Safety & Compliance: Create a hazard-free environment and promptly raise concerns regarding resident safety or wellbeing. Comply with the Aged Care Code of Conduct, Quality Standards and Confidentiality.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with Registered Nurses, Allied Health and Lifestyle coordinators to deliver holistic multidisciplinary care.


Qualifications & Experience:


  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing), equivalent qualification or working towards.
  • Medication competency (Desirable not mandatory)
  • Previous experience in Aged Care or Community Care. (Preferred not mandatory)
