Fantastic Opportunity for a Systems Process Engineer to join the Wahgunyah Factory, the home of Uncle Toby's Snacks and Cereals
This role provides technical leadership in the entire manufacturing process, to produce the maximum volume of high-quality product at the lowest cost and in the shortest time by identifying, leading, developing and executing solutions for quality and performance improvements on breakfast cereals packaging and/or processing systems.
**A day in the life.**
Reporting to the Production Manager and being responsible for driving strategic productivity and capacity solutions, other key responsibilities will include:
+ Identify opportunities to improve the productivity of existing systems using different Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) tools and techniques, such as DMAIC, GSTD, SMED and VSM.
+ Responsible to champion the Focused Improvement (FI) pillar for TPM.
+ Develop and maintain system capacity and conduct capability studies to ensure optimal production rates, parameters and formulas.
+ Improve system reliability (in conjunction with Maintenance) and product quality (in conjunction with Quality Engineer) and identify productivity improvements including new technologies.
+ Serve as R&D liaison for testing, monitoring and evaluating new equipment and new products.
+ Responsible for setting product Gold Standard samples.
+ Provide operating parameters (basic conditions) and ranges (flow rates, viscosity, speeds, etc.)
+ Develop, prepare and deliver technical training to manufacturing personnel to increase their operative and technical capabilities.
**What will make you successful**
+ Joining a collaborative team of specialists, you will be a strong team player with a drive to deliver quality outcomes with efficiency and with a passion for continuous process improvement.
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with a Master degree preferred (Chemical, Food, Industrial or similar).
+ 5+ years' experience in Food Industry within Manufacturing, QA, factory design or similar roles.
+ Operative experience in producing & packaging, preferably in cereal breakfast products.
+ Solid understanding of process development, engineering, manufacturing or quality engineering.
+ Project Management Experience (desirable in continuous improvement field)
+ Strong communication, negotiation, problem solving, analysis and decision-making abilities.

**A day in the life**

+ Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
+ Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and procurement, to ensure smooth coordination of activities and timely delivery of products
+ Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of warehouse equipment and facilities
+ Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, carriers, and other external stakeholders
+ Prepare and present regular reports on warehouse performance to senior management
**What will make you successful:**
+ Proven experience as a Distribution Centre Manager or similar role, preferably in the FMCG sector
+ Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including inventory management, order processing, and shipping/receiving
+ Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse workforce
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
+ Proficient in using warehouse management systems and other relevant software
+ Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices
+ Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
