We are looking for an enthusiastic WHS Manager to join our team at our Melbourne Fulfillment Centre. You'll be passionate about partnering with site leaders and operations team and driving our Amazon WHS culture and lead continuous improvement to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for our Associates. You will demonstrate the ability to build trust and confidence with the operations team and inspire change through providing comprehensive risk assessments and safety data analysis.
Demonstrating your strong communications skills, you will train Operations Leaders in Amazon WHS policies and assist the operations site teams in incorporating our safety standards in their day to day work.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead a site based WHS team and create and execute leadership development plans for your team.
- Completion of risk assessments related to EHS hazards.
- Develop local site WHS procedures and processes to meet Amazon Global Standards
- Analyze safety metrics and review and report on weekly and monthly incident trends
- Measure sites' performance against published requirements in safety and health policies and identify a plan for the site to implement and fix all identified deficiencies.
- Deliver on-time and quality projects to Operations.
- Perform frequent site WHS audits to identify all non-compliance equipment and/or processes
- Lead and mentor Safety Associates or H&S representatives in your assigned facility.
- Ensure contractor management safety processes are implemented.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of increasing responsibilities in EHS or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience leading multiple direct reports or multiple sites
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment
- Experience in a distribution center or manufacturing EHS with mix of exempt and non-exempt employees at a site of at least 250 people

In every shift, you'll be leading a team to make sure everyone has the equipment they need and that it's running properly. That involves monitoring processes so that regulations and policies are followed and ensuring that preventative maintenance is carried out to increase equipment uptime.
With everything you observe on your shifts, you'll suggest improvements to make our systems more efficient and productive.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, process, or industrial engineering
- Experience directly managing teams of 3 or more
- Experience providing training and mentorship
- Experience working with Material handling equipment (MHE)
- Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to plan proactive maintenance and record reactive tasks
- Formal trade qualification: Cert III In Electrotechnology with valid trade electrical licence OR Cert III Mechanical Engineering (Fitter/Turner). Alternatively, an equivalent trade qualification formally recognised in Australia.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in automated conveyors systems and controls, electrical and electronic principles, preventative maintenance procedures, blueprint and schematic reading, industrial electrical, industrial controls, industrial electronics, Programmable Logic Control (PLC) programs, National Electrical Code (NEC), work order management
- Knowledge of statutory compliance requirements
- Experience in facilities management
- Experience of multi-contractor management

The Software Engineer II for Leica Biosystems is responsible for pragmatically applying good software engineering principles during feature definition, design, development, integration, verification and release. You will work in all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to deliver enhancements and fixes for medical device infrastructure and applications, whilst meeting applicable regulatory requirements.
Location: This position reports to the Software Engineering Manager and is part of the R&D Software Engineering Team located in MOUNT WAVERLEY, Melbourne and will be an ON-SITE role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ Participate in all Scrum events to transform the product backlog into working software increments.
+ Specify and design solutions for user stories to ensure customer value is delivered.
+ Develop and refactor code, debug, unit test and perform code reviews in accordance with team standards.
+ Participate in verification activities, including: defining test strategies, tools, mocks, reviewing test cases, developing automated tests, and manual test definition and execution. Maintain product quality by raising, assessing and fixing defects.
+ Author and review technical documentation, including but not limited to: specifications, design documents, risk assessments, configuration management plans, release notes, release records, etc.
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ Software Engineering or Computer Science degree with 4+ years of full SDLC experience.
+ Hands-on experience with automated testing
+ Experience with relevant software development technologies, including: C#, .Net/.Net Core, C++; UI technologies: WPF, HTML5; Communication technologies: WCF, REST, Message Bus. The Technical Service Engineer is responsible for delivering high-quality service support to Cytiva's customers across Australia and New Zealand. This includes performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and qualification of a wide range of Cytiva's laboratory and bioprocessing equipment. The role plays a critical part in ensuring customer satisfaction, equipment uptime, and compliance in GMP environments.
This position reports to the Cytiva ANZ Service Leader and is part of the Equipment Services Team. It is a field-based role working remotely, with access to a local office in Mount Waverley.
What you will do:
+ Perform installation, qualification (IQOQ), preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Cytiva's lab-scale and bioprocessing equipment including AKTA Pure, Go, Avant, Biacore, AKTA Ready, Readyflux, Wave, and Xcellerex systems etc., ensuring compliance with GMP standards.
+ Support digital and automation solutions including UNICORN, Figurate, Chronicle, OptiRun Connect, Historian and networking.
+ Maintain accurate service documentation including customer service logs, internal records, calibration records, and trunk stock.
+ Be part of an open and winning team culture, working closely with teammates and technical experts to continuously grow your technical skillset, while also collaborating with the broader team (incl. sales, product, and customer service) to deliver exceptional service to Cytiva customers.
+ Participate in revenue-generating activities such as contract renewals, sales lead generation, and implementation of service programs.

Who you are:
+ You have over 4 years of field service experience, or you are an early-career biomedical engineer, automation engineer, mechatronics engineer, electrical engineer/technician, or computer science graduate eager to grow in the life sciences industry.
+ You have strong hands-on technical skills, with proven experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving (preferably in field-based roles but not mandatory). You also demonstrate the ability to quickly learn and support a wide range of products.
+ You are proficient with computer systems and networking, capable of setting up and troubleshooting software and hardware in customer environments.
+ You have a keen attention to detail and a strong interest in working within GMP-regulated environments supporting critical therapeutic drug production.
+ You are passionate about the life sciences industry, customer-focused, and thrive both working independently and as a good team player as part of a remote, collaborative team.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements - below requirements are essential to this role:
+ Ability to travel - an average of 50% travel across Australia and New Zealand for training and field work, with occasional international travel.
+ Ability to lift, move, or carry tools, tool cases, and equipment, and to perform service tasks on both benchtop instruments and large-scale systems (e.g., 2000-litre bioreactors), including tasks that may require bending, kneeling, or working in physically demanding positions (in accordance with EHS guidelines).
