**Your day-to-day**
We are looking for a **Public Areas Attendants.** As part of the Housekeeping Team, you will help us ensure our luxurious rooms, suites, public areas, guest amenities, staff village and facilities are always 'fresh and welcoming.' Your day to day will involve:
+ Attending to guest requests
+ Reporting any maintenance concerns
+ Check out, service and deep cleaning of rooms in line with brand standards
+ Attending to staff village rooms as required
+ Assisting the wider Housekeeping Team as needed
**Base rate $25.93 + penalties + loading**
**What we need from you**
The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, making it easy for guests to approach you with concerns or compliments, ensuring a positive experience for all. Your problem-solving abilities will turn challenges into opportunities, allowing every guest to leave with great memories. Fluency in the local language is essential, and additional language skills are a plus, while strong reading and writing abilities are important for following instructions. The role requires physical fitness, as you will be on your feet for most of the day and need to bend and kneel frequently.
Intended commencement date for this position would be the 9th of June 2025, with the role being located on Hayman Island, Queensland.
Appropriate Australian working rights are required for this role.

**About the role**
The Activities and Marine Coordinator position supports the operational management of the guest activities, marine and Watersports functions. This role includes assisting with administrative duties relating to marina operations, private charters, berthing, reporting, scheduling, invoicing etc. The incumbent will also be required to be flexible to support delivery and execution of non-motorised water sports, guided activities, and recreational programs as required. The focus for this position is on delivering exceptional guest experiences, ensuring safety, and contributing to revenue growth.

Previous experience in activities, recreation, or marine operations preferred.

**What's the job?**
Responsible for providing day-to-day leadership and strategic direction across the food and beverage operation of the resort; maximising financial returns, driving development of people, creating and maintaining unique guest experiences, executing on brand standards, and building awareness of the resort, its product offerings and brand in the local community. **What's the job?**
As Front Office Duty Manager, you will oversee all aspects of Guest Services operations to ensure a unique and memorable guest experience that brings the brand to life. You'll lead, motivate, train, and develop your team to operate at peak efficiency while maintaining high service standards. Your responsibilities include ensuring all colleagues are trained in systems, security, cash handling, and quality procedures; conducting and participating in daily operations meetings to prepare and support the team; and maintaining a strong awareness of Workplace Health and Safety policies. You will work closely with the Security Department to maintain a safe environment for both guests and staff. In the absence of the Resort Manager, you will be responsible for supervising the overall hotel operation, including restaurants, bars, and events. Additionally, you'll monitor guest feedback from various channels to implement detailed action plans, liaise with the Front Office Manager to manage VIP guest schedules, and oversee the night audit and financial reporting functions. You will also drive financial performance through upselling initiatives, ensure safe and accurate cashiering procedures, and manage labour costs in alignment with budgets and business demands.

Completed Tertiary Studies in Hotel Management or Business Degree
Minimum 3 years' related management experience in 5 star, luxury hotel industry.
Flexibility - night, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job
Communication skills - guests will need to come to you with concerns as well as compliments, so you'll be easy to talk to
Fluency in the local language - extra language skills would be preferred
Strong interpersonal skills both written and verbal
Literate and tech-savvy - knowledge with PMS specifically opera is a must
You'll have a current clean driver's license
Able to travel on boats without sea sickness
Certification - QLD Responsible Service of Alcohol Certification

**Your day to day**
Our collection of unique dining options provides our guests with extraordinary island experiences of which you will play an integral part.
As Chef de Cuisine - Banquets, you will direct the operation of Conference, Events and bespoke dining, including food preparation and quality, physical maintenance, and inventory functions, to ensure hotel quality standards and revenue goals are met and food and supply costs are controlled.
You will also manage day-to-day kitchen activities, plan, and assign work, and establish performance and development goals for team members.

**Salary $85,000pa**
**What we need from you**
We are looking for enthusiastic and professional team players who knows how to deliver great service and exceed guest expectations.
Ideally you will have:
Completion of a degree or certificate in culinary arts and at least 2 years of experience as a chef, with at least one year in a supervisory capacity
Equivalent combination of education and culinary/kitchen operations experience
Previous experience in banquets, conferencing, events, private and bespoke dining
Up to date food safety certification.

**Your day to day**
From the moment a guest starts to consider a vacation until their arrival and stay at the InterContinental Hayman Island, you will create a genuinely memorable experience. As Hayman Concierge you'll lead the delivery of guest requests and enquiries to ensure complete guest satisfaction. You'll also be a brand ambassador and develop great working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
**Base rate $26.78 + penalties + loading**
**What we need from you**
+ Communication skills (both verbal and written)
+ Demonstrated problem-solving skills and flexibility
+ Fluency in English - extra language skills would be great, but not essential.
+ Valid full drivers' license
+ RSA certificate for Queensland
+ Flexibility - night, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job
+ Advanced study or qualifications would be advantageous but not essential
