**We are now seeking a passionate and driven Casual Clinical Consultant to join our Joint Replacement team in Port Macquarie. The nature of the employment would start as a casual role with potential requirements for weekend work.**
**You will provide clinical and technical support to orthopaedic surgeons, nurses and hospital staff.**
**Key responsibilities:**
+ Provide clinical and technical support during orthopaedic procedures, primarily in hip and knee replacement
+ Build strong, trusted relationships with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
+ Deliver ongoing training and education to hospital staff on the effective use of Stryker products
+ Collaborate with the sales team to support territory objectives and case planning
+ Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product offerings and clinical techniques
+ Ensure exceptional service and support to both public and private hospitals across the Northern Territory

+ Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g. nursing, physiotherapy, science, biomedical engineering)

About you in the role


  • Deliver individual recovery-focused support using evidence-based, person-centred approaches.

  • Engage in capacity-building activities that promote recovery, resilience, and improved physical and mental health.

About You


  • Relevant experience in the mental health or community services sector with strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for recovery-oriented practice.
  • Minimum Certificate IV in Mental health or Community Services or working towards this qualification.
  • Strong ability to engage with clients, share your story, and collaborate with team members.
  • Experience or a strong desire to learn about recovery-oriented approaches.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, seeing multiple consumers in one workday.

What you’ll be doing in this role
As a Local Area Coordinator, you would be using your people skills, ability to multitask and move with changes rapidly to assist participants to be linked to and navigate the NDIS. You will guide participants in their options to make informed choices while gathering information for the development of their NDIS plans to help further build capacity. LACs also support NDIS participants in exploring ways to achieve their goals and help them understand how the funding in their plan works


Your work will include:


  • Supporting people with disabilities, their families and carers by providing linkage and referrals to community and Mainstream Services and/or services funded by the NDIA’s Grant programs
  • With hands on NDIS and Uniting training you will develop a thorough understanding of how to best support NDIS participants through the various stages of their pathway
  • Undertake other duties as requested by the Service Area Leadership Team consistent with the general nature and responsibilities of the position
