Key job responsibilities
As WHS Specialist, you will oversee the delivery of H&S objectives at the fulfillment Center. This includes proactively collaborating on safety projects across the site and providing guidance on H&S matters. You will ensure compliance with Amazon's Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) policies and global standards. This involves completing risk assessments, measuring site performance against requirements, and analyzing safety metrics to identify improvement opportunities. Frequent site audits and inspections will allow you to identify and rectify any non-compliance issues with equipment or processes. You will also audit record-keeping practices to align with global standards and regulations. Leading and mentoring the on-site safety coordinators, you will identify compliance issues, safety risks, and improvement opportunities. You will facilitate incident investigations and maintain required documentation, entering safety incidents in the database in a timely manner. Additionally, you will conduct safety observations and audits, provide targeted training, and participate in process improvement activities.

In this crucial position, you will report into the APAC Environment Leader, as part of a shift-based role.
Key job responsibilities
- Characterization/determination of regulated and hazardous waste (from both inventory and facilities operations) including ensuring that waste is correctly classified, stored and segregated, labelled, documented in waste logs, and prepared for shipment in accordance with the local state waste regulatory requirements.
- Physical maintenance, housekeeping, and organization of the waste storage area and all safety equipment (eye wash, spill kit, fire extinguisher, etc.), in accordance with Australian regulatory requirements, AU Hazardous Waste Procedure and Amazon network policies.
- Log and containerize all regulated and hazardous wastes using a digital waste reporting tool.
- Raising requests for additional containers, labels, and other supplies from Waste Vendor to ensure proper stock levels are maintained at the site.
- Engaging and communicating with Waste Vendors to arrange waste collection - sending accumulated logs, scheduling and coordinating waste pick-ups, and follow-up on paperwork for each consignment of waste.
- Maintaining and uploading all shipment documents to the Shared Folder and digital waste reporting tool.
- Completion of all site based environmental inspections, raising of findings and gaps, then collaborate with relevant site stakeholders to assign actions to achieve effective environmental management.
- Liaison with Site Workplace Health and Safety (WHS), Inventory Control and Quality Assurance (ICQA), Inbound Support Services (ISS0, Vendor Returns and Facilities teams responsible for the proper management of hazardous chemicals and generation of hazardous wastes.
- Support in preparing monthly waste inventory and identifying the necessary shipping frequency to comply with accumulation requirements.
- Work with WHS, Operations, ICQA, Vendor Returns and Customer Returns teams to set-up a Products Awaiting Determination Staging Area.
- Regularly engage with site leadership to provide Environmental updates and provide site with visibility of Environmental Performance status and requirements.
- Must be trained on digital waste reporting tool and AU Hazardous Waste Procedure.
- Complete Dangerous Goods (DG)/ HazMat Training.
- Researching trends, inventory loss and cost reduction efforts, where applicable.

We're seeking for an experienced Operations Supervisors/Process Assistant to join the team at our Fulfillment Center in Moorebank.
The Process Assistant will support the Area Manager, and will hold responsibilities specific to your process path.
We currently have multiple opportunities across day and night shift.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Support and work in all departments as required,
- Helping support daily management of department duties, including allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties,
- Providing coverage for Area Managers,
- Providing policy follow-up, attendance tracking (duties do not extend to discipline),
- Tracking and reporting of ATS/labor hours,
- Assisting the floor as an associate resource, training associates and verifying SOP compliance,
- Ensuring successful area performance, through tracking, reporting and feedback of associate performance,
- Participating in Operational Excellence initiatives in some capacity,
- Fully understanding workflow and daily production goals,
- Assisting in keeping work area clean and organised,
- Identifying and addressing safety hazards within the work area,
- Coaching associates to work safely at all times
- Referring all job injuries immediately to area manager.
Basic Qualifications
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Previous experience leading teams,
- Availability to work 38 hours+/week, and overtime as required,
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to coach, train and assist team members,
- Experience working with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Preferred Qualifications
- Leadership experience directly managing others,
- Experience working within a similar field (manufacturing/distribution/warehousing/large retail),
- Experience with performance metrics and lean process improvement.
