Our business is “Shreyavedansh Pty Ltd”trading as “Rehal’s Divine Indian Restaurant providing Indian Cuisine. We need Chef to perform the following duties:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Plan and design menus featuring authentic and contemporary Indian dishes, ensuring appropriate portion sizes, ingredient selection, and presentation standards while estimating food and labour costs and managing the procurement of quality ingredients and specialty supplies.
• Supervise the preparation, cooking, and presentation of all menu items to maintain authentic Indian flavours, consistency, and high culinary standards.
• Collaborate closely with the restaurant management team to ensure efficient coordination between the kitchen and overall restaurant operations.
• Develop and implement cooking methods and recipes specific to Indian cuisine, including curries, tandoori items, breads, gravies, and accompaniments, while providing training, support, and guidance to kitchen staff.
• Personally prepare and cook a wide range of dishes using traditional techniques and authentic spices in accordance with the restaurant’s menu.
• Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and occupational health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
• Assist with the recruitment, supervision, and professional development of chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants to maintain a skilled and efficient kitchen team.
• Oversee food storage and preservation processes, including marination, seasoning, and maintaining spice blends to ensure consistency of taste and quality.
Appropriate candidate must have the following skills, education and experience:
Education: Minimum of Diploma level Education in related field
Experience: At least 1 year of highly relevant experience as a Chef
