What does the role involve?

  • Building relationships – you’ll be on the field, meeting with customers on a daily basis to capture the perfect business opportunity. You understand to create value in account(s) through long-term, profitable relationships

  • Time and Territory Management (TTM) - creating a daily schedule (including presence on jobsites and client offices) to optimize client potential and sales productivity by zone territory

  • Be a Hilti Champion – you’ll carry the technical knowledge to present high level customer consultations in your defined territory and represent the Hilti brand in the marketplace

  • Tracking your progress – you’ll utilize Salesforce to record all the interactions you had to make a sale as reporting is a key part of this role

What you need is:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Engineering, Construction or Architecture is highly desirable

  • Previous experience in any customer facing roles

  • Eagerness to learn, motivated and capable of working independently

  • Hands-on attitude – you'll be demonstrating our tools to our customers, using platforms such as Salesforce to keep track of everything, and collaborate with a variety of departments

  • Previous experience in the Construction industry or related industries is advantageous

  • Time management, planning and prioritization skills

  • Maintain a valid full Australian driver’s license – we'll provide you with a company car, be sure you’re ready to drive

  • Internationally or domestically mobile with the desire to develop and outperform


  • We will also consider candidates on 485 Temporary Graduate Visas

As an Account Manager and under the wing of an experienced Sales Leader, you will have ownership of a portfolio of residential real estate agency clients across the state, where a combination of phone and field sales will be key to driving revenue growth, deepening customer relationships, new product adoption and brand loyalty will be key to cementing Domain as an embedded solution and valuable business partner.

This tight-knit South Australia team catch up and socialise regularly in the office, and have had some fantastic growth in revenue and accounts recently that has created a lot of momentum and “buzz” that you will be welcomed into.

Ideal for a self-starter mindset, you’ll enjoy a great deal of independence in running a territory as your own business, bring your own stamp with new ideas and best practices, and work towards long term career development that many in the team have achieved.

In a typical day you can expect to:  

  • Get to know our key clients’ businesses intimately through close collaboration and maintaining strong partnerships.

  • Improve outcomes for clients by solution-selling across Domain’s portfolio of products.

  • Oversee all aspects of the sales cycle – from first meetings and demonstrations, building a business case and contract execution, through to reporting on account performance.

  • Present Domain insights to key stakeholders and attend customer events / sales meetings.

  • Strategise and implement business growth initiatives.

  • Occasionally support activity for the Key Accounts during busy times.

  • Proactively maintain relationships, introducing new and featured products that can solve problems and give clients the tools they need to achieve their goals.

  • Provide world class customer service by efficiently resolving client queries and operational/account issues.

  • Continually provide feedback on market conditions such as competitive activities (sales tactics and marketing initiatives), as well as potential barriers and opportunities.

  • Expand your knowledge to become an industry expert on tech solutions for the Residential Real Estate space.

Our Ideal Person:

ESSENTIAL:

  • Proven sales experience related to the Real Estate or Saas industry (software-as-a-service).

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to build relationships.

  • Ability to drive and meet clients across the territory

  • Proactive, self-starter attitude

  • Exceptional communication skills and consultative approach

  • Valid Australian drivers license and reliable vehicle

BONUS POINTS:

  • Face to face sales experience is highly preferred.

  • Experience selling using insights.
