The role of Group Leader is suited to a proactive individual who is looking to take the next step in their career to take on people leadership duties and responsibilities as well as being technically astute to guide and deliver projects for our clients. Stantec's community development team are responsible for the delivery of a variety of projects across numerous disciplines and sectors of all sizes including but not limited to greenfield master planned communities, Local government infrastructure (roads, footpaths, water, wastewater etc.) and more. The suitable candidate will have a diverse and dynamic history of project delivery and management.
You will be directly responsible for the management and strategic direction of all aspects of the Community Development team within our Maroochydore office. In this role you be required to ensure that you provide local staff with your expertise to manage the financial performance and overall quality of projects while also ensuring that the staff's health and well-being is well a key priority, and the office maintains a strong culture. You will be representing the company externally to clients and play a senior and active role in both developing new relationships and managing existing ones.
You will enjoy a diverse position and will need to have the ability to multitask and share your time between project involvement, business development, group performance and management responsibilities. You will have the opportunity to be part of a business that is working on the largest residential communities in Queensland and Australia.
**Day to day tasks would involve:**
+ Management of current and future workloads within Maroochydore Community Development team to achieve financial targets.
+ Support and offer guidance to Project Leads, Engineers and Graduate Engineers to enable them to perform successfully at all levels.
+ Ensure that the team maintains an appropriate level of service to key Clients.
+ Design, documentation and construction phase activities including project review, liaison with client and consultant team, liaison with authorities, reporting, contract administration and quality audits.
+ Facilitate knowledge sharing and proactively engage with your discipline colleagues with this business unit in QLD/WA/NT.
+ Adhere to professional standards, ethics and Stantec quality procedures.
+ Contribute to our company culture.
+ Project Management and Proposal/Pursuit experience are desired.
**To be successful for this role you'll need:**
+ Bachelor of Civil Engineering
+ Be a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland
+ Previous experience in a Consulting environment ideally within Land, Urban and Subdivisions
+ Strong client relationships in South East Queensland
+ Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards
+ Experience in the development of Performance Solutions
+ Competence and effort in managing risk exposure
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

We have an opportunity for a Senior Civil Designer to join our Community Development team in Maroochydore, Sunshine Coast. Reporting to the Design Lead, you will work on projects delivering civil design solutions within Brisbane and surrounds. The role will suit an experienced Civil Designer who has worked on multi-disciplined civil projects for Councils, Local government, Main Roads, or developers.

**The role**
+ Preparing conceptual and detailed designs using 12D (land subdivisions, road infrastructure, drainage, sewer & water systems as well as associated infrastructure)
+ Interpret civil design requirements of State Government, Local Government Authorities and private sector clients
+ Interface with associated disciplines such as transport, planning, survey, traffic, electrical and landscaping
+ Interact with clients regarding project needs

We have an opportunity for a Senior Civil Drafter to join our Community Development team in Maroochydore. This role will see you provide civil design services using AutoCAD for a wide variety of urban development projects. Our projects are located locally and throughout the Southeast Queensland region.

+ Preparation of conceptual and detailed design drawings in accordance with statutory requirements and standards
+ Civil engineering design for land subdivision, road and drainage projects using AutoCAD
+ Participate in the delivery of projects and ensure output is of a high standard and within time and cost budget allocations
+ Managing deliverables of a project including quality control and the coordination of drafting staff
+ Providing input to the continuous improvement of our design and drafting standards
+ Ensuring client expectations are met and exceeded
**About you**
To be successful you will display:
+ Demonstrated Civil drafting experience, ideally in civil infrastructure, land, urban or subdivisions
+ Demonstrated experience using design software including AutoCAD
