Telecommunication Technologist (Field Engineer)
We are searching for a skilled and driven Telecommunications Field Engineer to join our vibrant team. If you have appropriate qualifications and experience in planning, designing, and maintaining telecommunications networks, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
Swiftly identify and rectify malfunctions to ensure uninterrupted communication services.
Perform diagnostics for microwave, telemetry, multiplexing, satellite, and other communication systems.
Perform end-to-end testing for networks across all domains including Coaxial, copper, and FTTX (premise, node, and curb).
Develop and maintain logs of tests, locations, and stock inventories.
Maintain accurate documentation of communication policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulations.
Use SWMS (Safe Work Method Statement) and SWIs (Safe Work Instructions) for maintaining documentation.
Create detailed logs of inventories, parts, equipment, and instruments.
Provide technical advice and troubleshooting assistance.
Monitor the performance of complex telecommunications networks and equipment.
Provide ongoing operational support in designing, optimizing, and troubleshooting telecommunications network performance.
Plan the development of customer access telecommunications network infrastructure.
Ensure infrastructure plans meet client requirements and regulatory standards.
Integrate network and telecommunications technology with computer software, hardware, desktops, peripherals, databases, and operating systems.
Liaise with vendors, suppliers, service providers, and external resources.
Monitor contractual obligations and performance delivery to meet specified standards.
Ensure regular compliance with audits to relevant regulatory bodies
Monitor the quality and safety of on-field teams.
Use and monitor all testing and safety devices and equipment.
Lead planning, design, commissioning, and monitoring of complex telecommunications networks and associated equipment.
Provide guidance and expertise throughout the project lifecycle to resolve complex problems.
To be considered we expect to be able to observe:
Relevant Diploma or better in Telecommunications Engineering or a related field.
Demonstrated experience in planning, designing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex telecommunications networks and equipment.

- Troubleshooting of IT related equipment, such as PCs, wireless handheld devices, thin clients, printers and other end user devices.
- Responsible for the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and repair process for devices under warranty.

Basic Qualifications
- 1+ years of corporate setting Windows, Mac or Linux Operating systems support experience
- Experience troubleshooting integrated and interdependent computer systems
- High school or equivalent
- Understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, Email, HTTP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP protocols and applications.

- Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to plan proactive maintenance and record reactive tasks
- Experience in manufacturing, process, or industrial engineering
- Formal trade qualification: Formal trade qualification: Cert III in Electrotechnology with valid trade electrical licence OR Cert III Mechanical Engineering (Fitter/Turner). Alternatively, an equivalent trade qualification formally recognised in Australia.

**Job Summary**
Iron Mountain is seeking an experienced Solutions Delivery Architect (SDA) to join our Professional Services (PS) team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the design authority for customer solutions within your region , ensuring all digital solutions delivered are robust, standardized, and meet contractual commitments. You will lead the post-sale design journey, from requirements validation to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and handover, while mentoring and providing technical leadership to the regional Professional Services team.
**What You'll Do (Responsibilities)**
In this role, you will:
+ Lead Solution Design and Validation: Act as the trusted design partner to the customer, leading all aspects of the post-sale design journey from requirements analysis through UAT. You will assess, qualify, and advocate recommended solutions based on standard patterns while maintaining design integrity throughout implementation.
+ Provide Technical Leadership and Mentorship: Offer technical leadership and support to the regional Professional Services team across all required solution domains, including Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML)-powered automation, data extraction, and custom development. You'll utilise design thinking methodologies to facilitate solution development.
+ Ensure Architecture Standardisation and Compliance: Partner with the Global Enterprise Architecture and Professional Services Technology Office to mature and implement standard reference architectures and design patterns. This includes identifying risks, defining mitigation strategies , and ensuring adherence to engineering best practices like Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
**What You'll Bring**
The ideal candidate will have:
+ A proven track record of designing and fulfilling best-in-class global digital solutions across multiple successful client engagements.
+ Specialist-level knowledge and technical competency in Content/Information Management technologies, including Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), Enterprise Content Management (ECM), Workflow Orchestration, and Business Process Modeling (BPM).
+ Strong customer engagement skills, with the ability to establish technical credentials, build trust, and influence senior technical communities within a complex, global, matrixed organization.
+ A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS)/Information Technology, or a related field, OR equivalent experience. Architecture or Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Cloud Architect, The Open Group Architecture Framework - TOGAF) are strongly desired.
