AWS Security is looking for a GRC Specialist to contribute to the certification, accreditation, assurance, and authorisation activities across the security program. The successful candidate is a problem-solver, quick-study, with a broad understanding of the regulatory landscape, cloud technologies, experience in security and compliance.
Key job responsibilities
- Serve as the GRC Specialist for designated (physical and/or logical) components within the cloud capability, to perform assurance and authorization activities to ensure adherence to standards and protocols.
- Collaborate with internal teams and customers to establish baselines and level-set the security requirements, security controls, and security objectives.
- Implement ISM, PSPF, DSPF, ASIO T4, NIST and/or other security compliance frameworks into design and build baselines to achieve the agreed security posture.
- Create, optimise, and support cross-functional working groups and projects aimed at enhancing security efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.
- Utilise domain expertise to develop thought leadership material on cloud and emerging technologies, contributing to the organization's knowledge base and industry positioning.
- Deliver to tight deadlines and drive results, demonstrating exceptional attention to detail and ensuring accuracy in all aspects of security management.

In your day-to-day you will need to exercise sound judgment in making trade-offs between short versus long term security and business goals. You will be successful in this role by regularly analysing your own performance with a critical eye. A broad understanding of the AWS business and its interconnections is required. This position will also provide training, advice, and mentorship to other teams throughout AWS.

Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years experience working in areas related to security assurance, such as cybersecurity, auditing, security architecture, regulatory affairs or public sector agencies involved in cybersecurity management.
- Experience working with governance, risk and compliance programs that directly involve interaction with regulatory bodies.
- Proficient with government security frameworks, policies and standards (e.g. PSPF, ISM, DSPF. ASD Essential Eight)
- Experience working with cloud technologies.

- Degree or equivalent experience in (Computer Science, Engineering, Cyber Security, IT Security Management, Security Risk Management)a related security field

- Ability to able to credibly coordinate between technical teams and business stakeholders
- Strong communication skills. Ability to produce detailed and complex written business cases without the use of PowerPoint

We are looking for an enthusiastic WHS Manager to join our team at our Melbourne Fulfillment Centre. You'll be passionate about partnering with site leaders and operations team and driving our Amazon WHS culture and lead continuous improvement to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for our Associates. You will demonstrate the ability to build trust and confidence with the operations team and inspire change through providing comprehensive risk assessments and safety data analysis.
Demonstrating your strong communications skills, you will train Operations Leaders in Amazon WHS policies and assist the operations site teams in incorporating our safety standards in their day to day work.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead a site based WHS team and create and execute leadership development plans for your team.
- Completion of risk assessments related to EHS hazards.
- Develop local site WHS procedures and processes to meet Amazon Global Standards
- Analyze safety metrics and review and report on weekly and monthly incident trends
- Measure sites' performance against published requirements in safety and health policies and identify a plan for the site to implement and fix all identified deficiencies.
- Deliver on-time and quality projects to Operations.
- Perform frequent site WHS audits to identify all non-compliance equipment and/or processes
- Lead and mentor Safety Associates or H&S representatives in your assigned facility.
- Ensure contractor management safety processes are implemented.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of increasing responsibilities in EHS or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience leading multiple direct reports or multiple sites
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment
- Experience in a distribution center or manufacturing EHS with mix of exempt and non-exempt employees at a site of at least 250 people
