We support the Australian Government's classified programs with modern IT systems, including mission critical classified systems that cover a wide breadth of software engineering disciplines. Including enterprise systems, web applications, cyber security and geospatial systems. Our team develops these using the latest agile processes and industry best practices, leveraging leading commercial and open-source frameworks and tools.
+ Design innovative software solutions to complex problems
+ Integrate and deploy complex systems using SecDevOps practices
+ Undertake web focused User Interface development and User Experience evolution
+ Research, prototype, investigate and develop technologies and systems
+ Have the opportunity to lead or contribute to customer demonstrations, engagement and innovation activities and initiatives and business development responses

+ A Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering (with software engineering experience)

+ CI/CD tools and technologies and infrastructure as code (Ansible, Jenkins, git)

Scheduled to open in 2026, Crowne Plaza Geelong will redefine premium accommodation, offering a sophisticated stay for both leisure and corporate travellers. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Duty Manager to join our pre-opening leadership team and help build a culture of excellence from the ground up.
**A little taste of your day-to-day**
As a Duty Manager, you'll be a visible and proactive presence throughout the hotel, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while delivering warm and efficient service. During the pre-opening phase and beyond, your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the Front Office Manager in establishing operating procedures and service standards across front office operations.
Acting as the primary point of contact for guests and team members across all departments during your shift, handling issues with a proactive, guest-first mindset.
Managing the daily operation of the hotel in the absence of senior leadership, ensuring seamless coordination between front office, housekeeping, maintenance and food & beverage.
Assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and training of front office and guest service team members as part of the pre-opening phase.
Supporting the implementation and testing of systems such as the Property Management System (PMS) and other hotel platforms.
Conducting floor walks, monitoring guest satisfaction, resolving complaints, and ensuring operational standards are upheld at all times.
Promoting IHG programs and loyalty initiatives, contributing to revenue growth and guest retention.
**What we need from you**
Previous experience in a Duty Manager or senior front office role within a premium or upscale hotel environment (pre-opening experience highly regarded).
Strong understanding of front office operations, guest service delivery and hotel systems. (Opera Cloud or similar PMS experience desirable).
A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure during overnight shifts.
A passion for creating memorable guest experiences and contributing to a supportive team culture.

As Night Manager, you'll play a critical role in ensuring smooth overnight operations while contributing to the broader success of our front office team in a pre-opening environment. You will:
+ Be responsible for the hotel's overnight operations, acting as the senior leader on duty and first point of contact for guests after hours.
+ Lead the overnight process and ensure daily financial reporting and reconciliation is completed accurately and in line with IHG standards.
+ Support pre-opening activities such as the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), recruitment and training of the night team, and systems testing.
+ Manage the night team, including guest services agents and public area attendants, ensuring a consistently high standard of service and security.
+ Collaborate with other departments such as housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage to resolve guest issues and maintain operational continuity.
+ Uphold health, safety, and security protocols during the overnight shift, ensuring guest and team member wellbeing.
+ Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and emergency situations with professionalism and a calm demeanour.
+ Monitor occupancy, arrivals, departures, and room allocations for late check-ins or early check-outs.
**What we need from you**
Previous experience as a Night Manager, Night Auditor, or similar front office leadership role in a hotel environment (pre-opening experience highly regarded).
+ Strong knowledge of PMS systems (e.g., Opera Cloud) and night audit processes.
+ A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with excellent leadership and communication skills.
+ Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure during overnight shifts.

Our guests' safety and comfort always comes first, which is why Crowne Plaza Geelong is seeking out a master multi-tasker with the skills needed to keep our brand-new hotel looking and feeling its absolute best. This role will join our pre-opening Maintenance Manager to help ensure the smooth opening and ongoing operation of the hotel.
**A little taste of your day to day**
Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:
Assisting in the establishment and commissioning of the new hotel.
Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, common areas, back-of-house facilities, and exterior spaces.
+ Diagnose and resolve minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and mechanical issues promptly and effectively.
+ Conduct inspections of the property to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.

Our guests' safety and comfort always comes first, which is why Crowne Plaza Geelong is seeking out a master multi-tasker with the skills needed to keep our brand-new hotel looking and feeling its absolute best. This role will join our pre-opening Maintenance Manager to help ensure the smooth opening and ongoing operation of the hotel.
**A little taste of your day to day**
Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:
Assisting in the establishment and commissioning of the new hotel.
Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, common areas, back-of-house facilities, and exterior spaces.
+ Diagnose and resolve minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and mechanical issues promptly and effectively.
+ Conduct inspections of the property to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
+ Respond to guest requests for repairs or assistance in a timely and professional manner, ensuring guest satisfaction and comfort.
+ Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including completed tasks and materials used.
+ Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless operation and guest experience.
+ Assist in managing and maintaining the inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies necessary for maintenance tasks
+ Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing tasks, ensuring a safe environment for guests, staff, and yourself.
+ Ensure compliance with building codes, fire safety regulations and other relevant standards.
+ Effectively use Hub OS and other digital tools to keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
+ Perform preventative maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and extend the lifespan of equipment and facilities.
+ Assist in coordinating and overseeing external contractors or vendors when needed.
+ Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized workspace, promoting a positive work environment.
**What We Need From You**
Previous experience in a similar maintenance / handy person role - preferably in a hospitality setting.
+ Trade certificate (or equivalent); demonstrable experience, additional technical certifications in maintenance or a related field well regarded
+ Proven experience in general maintenance, repair work, and basic construction tasks.
+ Ability to effectively use a variety of hand and power tools.
+ Strong communication skills to interact with guests, colleagues, and contractors.
+ Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
+ A positive attitude, self-motivation, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
+ Ability to identify and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
+ Positively participate in professional development program, to build and maintain skills and experience.
