+ Ensuring compliance with HACCAP principles and procedures at all times

**To be successful in this position you will need to possess the following minimum requirements:**
+ High school certificate or equivalent qualification
+ Good presentation, communication skills and a fluency in English.
+ Previous experience in a similar role (Preferable)
+ Ability to work well under pressure
+ Ability to work flexibily on a 7 day rotating roster
+ Knowledge of and ability to follow HACCP principles

+ Complete end-of-day activities including posting charges to accounts, running night audit backup, and roll the date.
+ Process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit.
+ Process adjustment vouchers, paid-outs, correction vouchers, and miscellaneous charges.
+ Print contingency lists to have a record of all guests in case of emergency.
+ Sell a room/accommodation to guests without reservations based on availability.
+ Operate telephone switchboard station, process requests for wake-up calls, and advise guest of any messages.
+ Complete the Room Rate Variance Report.
+ Process all guest check-ins and assign room.
+ Activate or reissue room keys using electronic key machine.
+ Count bank at end of shift and secure bank.
+ Balance and drop receipts according to Accounting specifications.

For 17 years, Harrisons has been setting the benchmark for fine dining in Port Douglas, showcasing the best seasonal Australian produce, crafted daily into elegant menus and paired with an extensive wine and beverage list. Guided by award-winning chef Spencer Patrick, Harrisons continues to be recognised as one of Tropical North Queensland's premier dining destinations.
**Position Summary: **
+ Be the connecter and facilitator of collective power and supervise the preparation and production of all hot or cold food items for the food and beverage outlet
+ Assist the Head Chef in ensuring the quality, consistency and production of food in all areas of responsibility
+ Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation
+ Plan and manage food quantities and plating requirements for the food operation
+ Ensure proper portion, arrangement and food garnish focusing on attention to detail    
+ Maintain organisational skills to ensure your section is clean and runs efficiently throughout each service period
+ Ensure all food is prepared and presented in a way that aims to exceed guest expectations
+ Understand guest requirements and deliver service excellence with each customer experience 
+ Assist the team with preparation and execution during service periods
+ Maintain strong food safety and property standards
**About You: **
+ Trade Industry Qualification or completion of Commercial Cookery Qualification
+ Passion for the industry
