Our client Jeff Wilson Painting Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Painter to join the team.



Tasks Include:

• Clean, sand, and smooth surfaces. Fill cracks, holes, and joints with putty or fillers to ensure a smooth surface before painting.

• Select, mix, and apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray guns. Follow paint manufacturers' instructions to ensure consistency and durability.

• Use masking tape, drop cloths, and other materials to protect areas not being painted. Remove fixtures like doorknobs, windows, or switch covers where necessary.

• Assist in estimating the amount of material and time required for jobs and maintain accurate records of work performed.

• Apply paints, wallpaper, decorative finishes, and special effects such as marbling or wood-graining as required by the client specifications.

• Fixing woodwork, filling or sealing holes, cracks and joins and washing them down to remove dust and grease.

• Provide colour matching services and advise clients on colour selections based on their preferences and the design of the space.

• Adhere to all occupational health and safety regulations, including the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials. Ensure a safe work environment by using appropriate protective equipment.

• Clean and maintain painting tools, equipment, and workspaces after completing each job. Ensure all tools are in good working order.

• Work alongside other trades professionals to ensure that all finishing touches align with the overall construction project.



Qualifications and Requirements:

• Certificate III level qualifications or equivalent in Painting and Decorating or other relevant field.

• Recent 3 years of relevant experience working as a Painter.

• Ability to problem solve and have critical thinking skills.

• Good oral communication skills.

• Proficiency in various painting techniques, tools, and materials.

• Knowledge of colour theory, surface preparation, and finish application.

• Strong attention to detail, with an emphasis on quality and precision.

• Physical stamina and the ability to work in different environmental conditions (indoors and outdoors).

Qualifications and Requirements:

• A Diploma level qualification in Horticulture or Agriculture
