We currently have a vacancy for a Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Coordinator to join the Amazon Australia Team. This position is within the Fulfillment Center (FC), reporting into the WHS Manager. It requires working with the WHS team to deliver high standards of safety within our FC. The suitable applicant will be trained in both the standard work and tools used within the WHS function. You will be a strong communicator, who values teamwork, is proactive about safety and who can function as a role model and engage in a professional manner with the entire FC workforce.
*This is an hourly role based on shift patterns:
The current shift pattern is Back End, night shift - Wednesday to Saturday
Must be willing to rotate shifts based on business need.

We're seeking for an experienced Quality Assurance Area Manager to take ownership of our Fulfillment Center Inventory Control and Quality Assurance Operations.
Our Fulfillment Centers sit at the heart of Amazon's rapidly growing Operations network: they're where we manage our fast-moving inventory. In each Fulfillment Center, our teams stow deliveries, pick products, package them up and ship them out: each of these groups have played their part in taking us where we are today.
These Fulfillment Centers are fast-paced and high reward environments, where adherence to policies and procedures is key. So, we'll need the right type of leader to ensure that we deliver as reliably as ever to our customers, while making sure our teams deliver on performance and quality of service.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure KPIs are reviewed on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis and perform control and quality analysis on any behaviours/processes that could impact on inventory integrity,
- Gain expertise in key Fulfilment Centre process paths, as well as exception handling; we'll need you to ensure that process discipline is adhered to across all shifts and departments,
- Measurement of quality and inventory integrity and accuracy, while providing quality assurance feedback to the Operations management team,
- Liaise with Area Managers and Operations Managers to aid the communication of all policies related to process discipline,
- Coordinate inventory control maintenance and random counts in accordance with network count strategies, ensuring compliance and consistency with SOX,
- Plan for and identify root causes of inventory deviation, via cause and effect analysis,
- Review and analyse customer complaints and any defect data, followed by development of corresponding action plans to reduce future incidents,
- Assuming full accountability for setting and meeting of operational goals,
- Strategic planning and forecasting, alongside assigning and directing work,
- Rewarding and disciplining employees, as well as developing Area Managers,
- Drive process improvements and team members' ability to keep pace with our rapid growth, while motivating others and reducing employee turnover,
- Collaborate with all department managers to identify and understand key projects, initiatives and system enhancements,
Basic Qualifications
- Previous Inventory Control and Quality Assurance Management experience or similar role,
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems,
- You possess excellent verbal and written communications skills,
- You have a demonstrated, solid proficiency in time management skills, alongside confidence in organising vast amounts of data,
- Strong problem solving skills and self-starter, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a complex, occasionally ambiguous environment,
- Proven ability to influence, with varying levels of seniority within an organisation,
- Fluent user of the entire MS Office suite, especially Excel; MS Access experience is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong analytical abilities, including proficient mathematical and data analysis skills,
- You're ideally able to swiftly pick up new software systems and data analysis tools e.g. Excel, SQL, QuickSight,
- Experience owning process improvement projects, using data to conduct root cause analysis and collaborating with key stakeholders to implement solutions,
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or equivalent qualification.

Here at Amazon we are currently seeking for experienced Operations Managers to join our Customer Fulfillment night shift team at our Fulfillment Center in Jandokot.
As an Operations Manager, you'll deliver inspiring, inclusive leadership for the teams you supervise. But at the same time, you don't shy away from getting involved whenever necessary.
You'll be directly responsible for supervising a team of Area Managers and their direct reports: meanwhile, you will report to the Site Lead of your Fulfillment Center. The quality of your leadership is key to achievement in this role: you'll motivate and inspire your teams to do their best work, while planning schedules and activities that balance their needs with that of the business.
Another key aspect of your role will be to coordinate on numerous process improvement projects, with the aim of streamlining all activities, both for yourself and the team members you supervise. To help us achieve this, we are seeking a driven Waste Coordinator to help drive waste compliance at our Sort Center in the Jandakot, a southern suburb of Perth, Western Australia
In this crucial position, you will report into the APAC Environment Leader, as part of a shift-based Monday to Friday role.
Key job responsibilities
- Characterisation/determination of regulated and hazardous waste (from both inventory and facilities operations) including ensuring that waste is correctly classified, stored and segregated, labelled, documented in waste logs, and prepared for shipment in accordance with the local state waste regulatory requirements.
- Physical maintenance, housekeeping, and organization of the waste storage area and all safety equipment (eye wash, spill kit, fire extinguisher, etc.), in accordance with Australian regulatory requirements, AU Hazardous Waste Procedure and Amazon network policies.
- Log and containerize all regulated and hazardous wastes using a digital waste reporting tool.
- Raising requests for additional containers, labels, and other supplies from Waste Vendor to ensure proper stock levels are maintained at the site.
- Engaging and communicating with Waste Vendors to arrange waste collection - sending accumulated logs, scheduling and coordinating waste pick-ups, and follow-up on paperwork for each consignment of waste.
- Maintaining and uploading all shipment documents to the Shared Folder and digital waste reporting tool.
- Completion of all site based environmental inspections, raising of findings and gaps, then collaborate with relevant site stakeholders to assign actions to achieve effective environmental management.
- Liaison with Site Workplace Health and Safety (WHS), Inventory Control and Quality Assurance (ICQA), Inbound Support Services (ISS0, Vendor Returns and Facilities teams responsible for the proper management of hazardous chemicals and generation of hazardous wastes.
- Support in preparing monthly waste inventory and identifying the necessary shipping frequency to comply with accumulation requirements.
- Work with WHS, Operations, ICQA, Vendor Returns and Customer Returns teams to set-up a Products Awaiting Determination Staging Area.
- Regularly engage with site leadership to provide Environmental updates and provide site with visibility of Environmental Performance status and requirements.
- Must be trained on digital waste reporting tool and AU Hazardous Waste Procedure.
- Complete Dangerous Goods (DG)/ HazMat Training.
- Researching trends, inventory loss and cost reduction efforts, where applicable.
- Must be available to assist with incidental spill/leak/release clean-up activities.
- Deep-dive waste data and identify opportunities for waste reduction onsite
- Additional projects focused on professional growth and development in Waste/Environmental related focus areas
- Notify relevant stakeholders (external and internal) of reportable or abnormal waste collections as allocated by the AU Environmental Leader
Basic Qualifications
- High school or equivalent
- Excellent attention to detail and work with the highest level of accuracy
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proven ability to clearly communicate with managers and associates at all levels
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook and Explorer)
- Can lift up to 25Kg, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
Preferred Qualifications
- A Diploma or Degree in Environmental Science or Science
- Ability to deep dive data to identify opportunities, issues or improvements for waste minimization
- Experience in a fulfillment/distribution center environment
- Experience with inventory, bin types, containers, and all tools used to move product throughout the warehouse
- Experience and knowledge in waste classification, segregation and state-based waste regulatory requirements
- Interest in Environmental, Health and Safety field of work and Environmental Compliance at the site level
- Understanding of Receiving processes and operations

+ To prepare customs clearance declarations for submission to customs in compliance with the national regulatory provisions and in adherence to the company's policies and procedures.
+ Accurately classify & value import and export products for customs clearance
+ Accurately update systems databases with appropriate information
+ Ensure shipments are cleared within specified timeframes in line with approved Key Performance Indicators
+ Liaise professionally and cordially with customers both internal and external
+ Respond to all queries in a timely manner as defined by standard operational procedure
+ Complete designated training within specified timeframes
+ Assist with transport operations, booking deliveries, billings and Accounting.
+ In addition to this, to perform tasks as requested, including, but not exclusive to, assisting in general Brokerage operations.
+ Responsible for all aspects of the job to the Brokerage Manager.
+ Australian Customs Brokers License, or within 12 months of application.
+ Knowledge of Government Regulations
+ Standard Operational Procedures for Customs Import Operations.
+ ICS and Third Party Systems
+ Good geographical knowledge
+ Accounting knowledge
+ International freight shipping terms
+ Possess elements of Expeditors Attributes and Culture

+ General Mathematical knowledge, including but not exclusive to, dealing with Exchange Rates, Foreign Currency and General Ledger
