What You'll Do
As a Deputy Program Manager (DPM), you will:
+ Experience working in 24x7 mission-critical environments supporting facilities construction, operations, and maintenance, and support services where continuous availability of facility infrastructure is essential and of the highest priority
+ Display strong technical, programmatic, and personal leadership skills
+ Knowledgeable of the guidelines provided by the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)

In this role, you will lead a team of TPMs withing the New Region & Multi-cloud delivery organization and own the end-to-end execution of various data center infrastructure projects. Your ability to anticipate and mitigate risks to data center delivery will be crucial in maintaining project timelines. This is a high-impact role that will lead, drive, and ensure the successful delivery of critical data center infrastructure builds in our roadmap. The role comes with a high degree of personal accountability and autonomy and will require effective engagement across various stakeholders including design, engineering, operations, supply chain, and network delivery.
**Responsibilities**
As a Senior Manager you will:
+ Recruit, Grow, and develop a team of TPMs.
+ Own end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of data center infrastructure projects.
+ Bring expertise, problem solving skills, and creativity to tackle new problems are they occur during execution.
+ Work across various organizations to identify new opportunities to streamline the build process, reduce complexity, and enable the team to scale.
+ Interact directly with senior executives (both external and internal) to provide regular status updates and address escalations.

**Responsibilities**
+ You will partner with Software and Cloud Engineering to design complex technical solutions across feature areas.
+ You'll also give key stakeholders data-driven recommendations based on identified risks.
+ You'll define success criteria and create relationships for implementing multiple feature areas for complex cross-functional projects. You'll coordinate and ensure alignment across the business.
+ You will deliver roadmaps for multiple feature groups across organizational teams, track project schedules, drive development of staging and implementation plans, and lead governance and compliance programs.
+ Collaborate with engineering and compliance teams to integrate Responsible AI and Deployment Safety Board processes into product development, ensuring risk mitigation and regulatory adherence.

**Qualifications**

+ Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
+ 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
+ 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
+ Proven ability to manage cross-functional programs in fast-paced environments.
+ Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

+ 6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
+ 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).

This role will help to ensure our delivery promises to our customers are fulfilled on time and that we continuously improve Amazon Australia's delivery experience on behalf of our customers. The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement initiatives with carrier, fulfillment center, technical, customer service and retail teams. This leader will be a natural self-starter who is comfortable supporting both daily execution activities and large, complex and cross-functional projects.
Key job responsibilities

- Oversee and improve aspects of last-mile transportation carrier management including but not limited to operations excellence, performance management, escalations, carrier relationship and contract negotiations.
- Identify, analyse, review and lead network improvement initiatives for existing and new logistics solutions with cross-functional stakeholders optimising for capacity, quality, speed, delivery experience, concessions and cost over the long term.
- Generate and review relevant and actionable transportation metrics, driving improvements and automation over time.
- Prepare and lead operations calls, business reviews, and customer service workshops as needed.
- Coordinate and communicate transportation planning and forecasts with carriers to ensure sufficient capacity.
- Support both daily operational activities and large, complex and cross-functional projects.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to improve customer experience in Last Mile
- Review and manage transportation escalations, identifying and implementing corrective actions where required.

Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of program or project management experience

- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
