About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join their dedicated aged care team. You’ll deliver safe, high-quality clinical care, support residents’ dignity and independence, and help maintain their health and comfort in a respectful, community-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Providing Holistic, Person-Centred Care:
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and deliver tailored nursing care that addresses the physical, emotional, and social needs of each resident. You will develop a deep understanding of their life stories, preferences, and goals to ensure care is truly individualised.
Expert Clinical Service Delivery
• Utilise your advanced clinical skills to manage complex health needs, including meticulous medication administration and management, sophisticated wound care and pressure injury prevention, palliative and end-of-life care support, and proactive chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, dementia, cardiovascular conditions).
Collaborative Care Planning and Review:
• Act as a key liaison between residents, their families, General Practitioners, and the broader multidisciplinary care team (including Allied Health professionals). You will lead the development, implementation, and regular evaluation of personalised care plans to ensure they remain effective and responsive to changing needs.

Championing a Homelike Environment:
• Actively promote a culture that respects and upholds the safety, privacy, dignity, and independence of every resident. Foster a warm, engaging, and homelike atmosphere where residents feel valued, heard, and connected to their community.
Commitment to Continuous Improvement:
• Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and staff education sessions. Take personal responsibility for maintaining and expanding your clinical knowledge base through ongoing professional development.
Skills & Experience
• A current and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• A minimum of one year of post-registration nursing experience. While prior experience within an aged care setting is highly regarded, we also welcome applications from nurses with a strong background in acute care, rehabilitation, or palliative care who possess a genuine passion for gerontology.
• A current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or the ability to obtain one prior to commencement). Compliance with all required vaccinations, including current Influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with residents, families, and colleagues. You are a natural team player with demonstrated leadership qualities, including empathy, patience, and resilience.
• A valid driver's licence and access to your own reliable transport.
• An unwavering commitment to the principles of person-centred care and a deep-seated passion for making a meaningful difference in the aged care sector.
