As an air operation agent, you will be responsible for accepting bookings from internal & external customers, ensuring they have complete and compliant documentation for the import or export of goods. You will have the autonomy to provide exceptional customer service both internally and externally while applying the company standards and processes to effectively complete import & export requirements.
+ Customer Service: You will be responsible for communicating effectively with customers and to ensure a compliant and complete shipment process in a timely manner, documenting customer needs for future use.
+ Operational Excellence: You will take ownership of understanding and complying with Expeditors internal process standards, to complete timely, accurate and compliant documentations, customer billings and system updates.
+ Service Provider Relationships: As an operation agent you will build strong partnerships with Service Providers including Airlines, Terminal operators and Trucking companies to ensure your client is serviced to a high level.
+ Previous experience within the logistics field or equivalent training of 2 years
+ Solid oral and written communication skills
+ Tertiary Educated
+ Strong problem solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office

C.H. Robinson is currently seeking a Global Forwarding Agent (Air Import Operator) to join our operations team in Sydney. The Global Forwarding Agent will be the primary point of contact for their assigned customer accounts, managing the full shipment lifecycle to ensure accuracy and efficiency in meeting customer requirements.
You'll work closely with customers from the initiation of shipments through to completion, overseeing all related tasks, maintaining daily communication, managing reporting, and handling emails. A successful Global Forwarding Agent thrives in a lightning-fast environment, finding swift resolutions to transportation and documentation problems. We offer a dynamic, industry-leading training program that jumpstarts your knowledge of C.H. Robinson and our systems and processes.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
The duties and responsibilities of this position consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
Maintain Operational Excellence:
+ Understand the processes, documentation, and terminology involved in international shipping from time of purchase order issuance through the delivery of the cargo
+ Understand and input applicable financial components of shipments to generate correct billing for customers
+ Apply industry knowledge and critical thinking to adapt processes/create solutions in response to challenges both internally and externally
+ Execute and coordinate shipment tasks as per customer SOPs- booking approvals, processing pre-alerts, governmental filings, deliveries, and invoicing.
+ Create, maintain, and update accurate shipment data in Navisphere
+ Provide quotes based on customer and network needs, and ensure full pricing understanding
+ Offer track and trace services and generate shipment documents
+ Maintain high data integrity across all shipment details including INCOterms, routing, dates, and documentation
**Facilitate Relationships:**
+ Build strong customer relationships through timely responses and issue resolution
+ Communicate clearly and effectively with customers, agents, C.H. Robinson offices, and external vendors
+ Foster a positive team environment
+ Support new customer implementations and participate in business meetings as needed
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Required:**
+ High school diploma/ TAFE/ Graduate Degree or equivalent
+ 1 - 3 years of freight forwarding operations / logistics and supply chain industry or similar experience
**Preferred:**
