**Your New Role and Responsibilities**
The Air Component Command and Control Capability System (AC-C2CS) is a mission-critical suite of software applications that enables the Australian Defence Force (ADF) to effectively plan, prepare, execute, manage, and report on aviation operations.
The Solutions Architect plays a critical role in designing and delivering secure, scalable, and sustainable solutions for the AC-C2CS Project. Working closely with project managers, engineers, and key stakeholders, this position ensures architectural integrity across complex systems and aligns technical designs with strategic objectives.

AWS Specialist Solutions Architects (SSAs) are technologists with deep domain-specific expertise, able to address advanced concepts and feature designs. The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is part of AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS), which is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. We work backwards from our customer's most complex and business critical problems to build and execute go-to-market plans that turn AWS ideas into multi-billion-dollar businesses. WWSO teams include business development, specialist and technical solutions architecture. As part of WWSO, you'll provide expertise across the entire life cycle of an AWS customer initiative, from developing ideas for new services to accelerating the adoption of established businesses. Key job responsibilities
- Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap.
- Provide advanced technical knowledge to your domain aligned GTM teams to unblock our customers' largest and most critical business challenges.
- Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re: Invent, etc.
- Partner with Business Development teams to define the technical components of best in class GTM concepts, solutions, and initiatives.
- Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide. Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services solutions into customer architectures.
A day in the life
A typical day might include meeting with technical product managers at AWS or with partners, collaborating with others to build and test demonstrations and proofs of concept, and writing technical content such as blog posts and papers. It might also include reading technical news bulletins to stay abreast of changes in technology that affect your partners and getting hands-on with AWS every day.

About the team
This position is part of the Amazon Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for their respective technology domains, providing the business and technical expertise to help our customers succeed. Partner teams own the strategy, recruiting, development, and growth of our key technology and consulting partners. Together they provide our customers with the expertise and scale needed to build innovative solutions for their most complex challenges.
The WWSO APJ CXE Specialist Solution Architecture team is a diverse group of architects located throughout Asia, Pacific and Japan. The team develops Contact Centre architectures and solutions using Amazon Connect for our customers. Specialist SAs play a critical role in capturing customer feedback, advocating for roadmap enhancements, and anticipating customer requirements as they work backwards from their needs. As domain experts, SSAs also participate in field engagement and enablement, producing content such as whitepapers, blogs, and workshops for customers, partners, and the AWS Technical Field.
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years design/implementation/consulting experience of distributed applications
- 5+ years management of technical, customer facing resources
- 5+ years of experience building integrations across WFM, CRM, and contact center solutions or experience with communications protocols and APIs such as WebRTC and SIP or similar CCaaS technology
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing solutions and passion for hands-on experience with scripting/coding (e.g. python, java, c#, .NET, or Node.js)
- History of successful technical consulting and/or architecture engagements with large-scale customers or enterprises
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
- Familiarity with common enterprise services
- Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers.
- Strong written communication skills
- Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
- Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
- AWS Solution Architecture certification or relevant cloud expertise
- Computer Science /relevant degree and/or experience highly desired
