To bring this to life, we're currently searching for an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to partner with the F&B Manager and the rest of the F&B leadership team.
**A little taste of your day-to-day**
+ Support to implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the food & beverage department, including service standards, food handling protocols, sanitation procedures, and customer service guidelines.
+ Support the training and development of food & beverage team including supervisors, waitstaff and bar attendants.
+ Collaborate closely with other departments, such as kitchen, events, and front office, to ensure seamless operations, communicating F&B needs and requirements effectively to other teams.
+ Manage day-to-day staffing needs, plan and assign work and establish performance and development goals for team members. Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback.
+ Leading & driving service in the outlets, be hands on with the team to maximize guest satisfaction each day.
+ Work with F&B Manager on development and implementation of revenue generating strategies in both F&B outlets.
+ Ensure guest arrival experience, manage guest complaints to drive improvement in guest satisfaction.
+ Ensuring that all food and beverage operations comply with relevant health, safety, and sanitation regulations, obtaining necessary permits and licenses and conducting regular inspections to maintain compliance.
+ Coordinate regular stocktakes of food, beverages, equipment and/or linen. Regularly review and report inventory figures to senior management and order accordingly.
**What we need from you**
+ At least 2 years of related experience, including management experience.
+ Bachelor's degree / higher education qualification in Hotel Management, culinary arts, or related field preferred.
+ Valid Victorian RSA and Food Safety Certificate, as required by local law.
+ A demonstrated capability of collaborating with multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities.
+ Excellent Communication skills - guest will need to come to you with concerns as well as compliments, so you'll be easy to talk to

**Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:**
+ Manage everyday activity, plan and assign work ensuring you always have the right staffing numbers
+ Develop your team and improve their performance through coaching and feedback, and create performance and development goals for colleagues
+ Train colleagues to make sure they deliver with compliance and to the standards we expect
+ Recommend or initiate any HR elated actions where needed
+ Make sure all food and beverage equipment is in operational condition and regularly cleaned
+ Make sure all food and beverage facilities including banquet/convention spaces are clean and properly stocked to anticipated business volume. Notify engineering immediately of any maintenance and repair needs
+ Monitor budget and control expenses with a focus on food, beverage and labour costs
+ Working with the catering office, identify additional sales opportunities to enhance revenue
+ Drive promotions that deliver great dining experiences for guests at a good value
+ Make sure credit and financial transactions are handled in a secure manner
**What We need from you:**
+ Availability across a 7 day roster in particular PM shifts
+ 1 years' experience in a full-time F&B role, preferably in a hotel or luxury restaurant environment and specialising.
+ Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, enthusiasm to learn new things and above all, a can-do attitude.
+ Proficiency in delivering a seamless experience to customers
+ Willingness to support and mentor junior staff as necessary.
+ Eligibility to live and work in Australia - No sposorship opportunities available

**About the Role**
We're looking for a dynamic **Food & Beverage Duty Manager** to join our leadership team. In this pivotal role, you'll inspire and lead our talented F&B team, ensuring seamless service across our venues while driving operational excellence, guest satisfaction, and team development.
You'll combine your passion for creating unforgettable dining experiences with strong leadership and commercial acumen, working closely with the Food & Beverage Management team to bring the InterContinental experience to life.
**Your Day to Day**
+ Lead daily food & beverage operations across outlets, ensuring exceptional service and consistency with brand standards.
+ Coach, mentor and develop team members through performance feedback and ongoing training.
+ Oversee staffing, rostering, and cost management in line with budgets, with a strong focus on labour, food and beverage cost control.
+ Foster teamwork and collaboration across departments to deliver seamless guest experiences.
+ Drive guest satisfaction through proactive engagement and swift resolution of feedback or concerns.
+ Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing requirements.
+ Partner with the leadership team to analyse performance, drive revenue, and maximise profitability.
+ Champion IHG's brand standards, behaviours, and service culture in every interaction.
**What We're Looking For**
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Hospitality, Hotel Management, or related field.
+ Minimum of 4 years' relevant experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a high-end F&B environment.
+ A strong understanding of restaurant and bar operations, cost management, and guest experience delivery.
+ Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
+ Certification or permits as required by local government regulations.
+ Unrestricted working rights in Australia.
