Position: Bricklayer br>Salary: 75,000 to $80,000 Base Salary per year plus Superannuation
Hours: Full-Time
Work Location: On-site projects throughout Melbourne and close by suburbs plus regional areas.
We need qualified, experienced and reliable Bricklayer to join our team as an employee. You will be working on several projects ranging from domestic housing to semi commercial project to small repairs. You will be responsible for laying bricks, blocks, and other pre-cut building materials in mortar to construct and repair various structures including walls, partitions, arches, and segmental paving. You will contribute to both new builds and renovation projects, ensuring a high standard of craftsmanship, safety, and efficiency throughout.
Responsibilities:
• S udy building plans and specifications to determine materials, dimensions, and procedures for installation. < r>• E ect and dismantle restricted height scaffolding to access work areas safely. < r>• S al foundations with damp-resistant materials and spread mortar to serve as a base and binder for brickwork. < r>• L y bricks, blocks, and other materials in rows, designs, and specified shapes, using trowels to spread mortar between joints. < r>• A ign and embed blocks in mortar, ensuring stability, strength, and aesthetic finish. < r>• C eck and adjust brickwork for proper vertical and horizontal alignment. < r>• C t and shape bricks using power tools or hand tools to fit corners, arches, and irregular spaces. < r>• R move excess mortar and finish joints to a neat and uniform appearance. < r>• R pair and maintain existing brick structures, including replacing damaged bricks or repointing mortar joints. < r>• C nstruct segmental paving, garden walls, and other outdoor masonry features as required. < r>• M y prepare bedding courses and assist in the layout and alignment of segmental paving < r>

• A F Cert III including at least two years of on-the-job training or AQF Cert IV. < r>• I absence of formal qualifications, must have at least 3 years or more verifiable work experience. < r>• P oficiency in interpreting plans, reading levels, and executing complex layouts. < r>• S illed in the safe and effective use of bricklaying tools and equipment. < r>• S rong understanding of worksite health and safety practices. < r>• P ysical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour for extended periods. < r>• W ite card along with a driver license and a vehicle of your own. < r>
