We’re seeking a Practice and Compliance Specialist to join our passionate central Early Learning team. Reporting to the Governance, Care and Practice Manager, you’ll provide expert coaching and support to early learning services across NSW and ACT – strengthening pedagogy, inclusive practices and compliance with child-safe and legislative standards.

What you’ll do:

  • Drive consistent, inclusive, high-quality practice and child-safe environments across Uniting's early learning and outside school hours care services.
  • Work closely with Centre Directors and Area Managers to prepare for and navigate the Assessment and Rating process.
  • Coach and mentor Early Childhood Teachers and educators to improve pedagogical practice through reflection, evidence-informed learning, and positive reinforcement.
  • Support services to implement policies and procedures aligned with National Law, Regulations and Uniting’s internal quality frameworks.
  • Lead professional learning, policy implementation and system improvements that embed continuous quality improvement.
  • Develop tools and strategies to help services meet their compliance obligations while maintaining a focus on meaningful, child-centred delivery.
  • Build strong, respectful partnerships – even in complex or high-pressure settings – with service leaders and stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Represent Uniting in sector forums, strategic projects, and collaborative external relationships.

    You will also have:

    • Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or equivalent
    • At least 3 years’ experience in service leadership and leading through an Assessment and Rating process
    • Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Law and Regulations, and Early Years Learning Frameworks
    • Experience with Child Safe Standards and/or child protection frameworks
    • A strong understanding of inclusion, compliance and evidence-based early childhood practice
    • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills – with the ability to build trust and engage confidently with diverse leadership styles
    • Experience using digital documentation platforms
    • A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly across NSW and ACT

    **Job Description**
    Gilead Sciences Pty Ltd. is seeking a Senior Counsel (Associate Director Legal & Compliance) to join the Legal team within the Australia and New Zealand commercial affiliate, based in Melbourne to be part of the ACE Legal and Compliance team in Australia, Canada and Europe Region. The ANZ affiliate supports Gilead's virology business including HIV and liver diseases and growing oncology business including the Gilead Kite CAR T portfolio and solid tumour products.

    **Job duties**
    You will be a key part of the Legal & Compliance team to ensure comprehensive support for the Affiliate's Business Units, Market Access team, Commercial Operations, and functional departments on all legal and business conduct matters. It requires an analytical approach, strong attention to detail, excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
    You will give substantive legal advice to one or more of Gilead's Business Units and cross functional teams supporting the activities of the Business Units on sales and marketing strategies, medical educational activities, public affairs, patient group and community activities as well as policy and government affairs initiatives.
    This role also has a focus on supporting the compliance program for the ANZ affiliate, providing tools and guidance to the Business Units about Gilead's Business Conduct Manual, the Medicines Australia Code of Practice, competition and consumer law, and anti-bribery.

    **Legal Responsibilities**
    Lead on strategic legal advice and operational support for some of the local business units and other functions in the ANZ affiliate in relation to:
    + Planning and implementation of product promotion and launch, including supporting market access strategy.
    + Lead in areas of law supported by your existing areas of specialisation and new areas as required by the team.
    + Supporting a self-service contract platform for use by the Business Units and functions and contract negotiation in relation to high risk and complex agreements.
    + Regulation and reimbursement of medicines including the _Therapeutic Goods Act_ and the _National Health Act._
    + Together with global specialist support teams, advising on competition law and anti-bribery anti-corruption processes.
    + Design, development, and delivery of legal training programs.
    **Compliance Responsibilities**
    Provide strategic compliance operational support in relation to:
    + Collaborating with the ANZ team to implement compliance practices within the ANZ affiliate and to ensure a high degree of alignment and consistency.
    + Collaborating with compliance teams across Gilead on policy, practices, and training.
    + Ensuring that the ANZ affiliate understand the why behind Gilead's compliance requirements and the areas of potential risk.
    + Advice on points of interpretation for compliance requirements and required internal approval processes.
    + Participate in the approval of high-risk activities and promotional materials for the ANZ affiliate associated with Gilead's interactions with HCPs, community and decision makers, including sales, marketing, medical education, community and payer interactions.
    + Supports periodic compliance audits and ongoing monitoring of compliance of events and materials.

    **Job Description**

    We are looking for a passionate Quality Engineer, Safety Management System (SMS) & Risk Manager with exceptional communication skills to join our Quality Department at Bankstown Airport. Reporting to the Director of Quality & Industrial Services, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting internal and external stakeholders by providing expert coaching in Quality and Continuous Improvement, with a strong emphasis on Process Excellence.
    In addition, the role encompasses leadership of Safran Helicopter Engines Australia's Safety Management System (SMS) and Risk Programs, with a particular focus on the proactive identification, analysis, and mitigation of operational risks to enhance organisational resilience and safety performance.

    Key Responsibilities:
    - Attend and act as coach at assigned Quick Response Quality Control (QRQC) ritual meetings to ensure the QRQC methodology is being practiced as intended.
    - Promote the dedicated Problem-Solving Methodology, by assisting and training employees daily
    - Fulfill a coaching and mentoring role by supporting the implementation of corrective actions through the application of established problem-solving methodologies
    - Support process owners and their teams with the creation and maintenance of their associated One Safran process documentation (Procedures, Instructions, templates etc.) as required.
    - Conduct audits in accordance with the established annual audit plan, and where necessary, issue Corrective Action Requests (CARs), Opportunities for Improvement (OFIs), and electronic QRQCs (e-QRQCs), while providing guidance to pilots in the application of appropriate problem-solving methodologies.
    - Perform Basic Audits as per the annual schedule and as directed.
    - Deliver Aviation Safety and Part 145 & MOE training in the capacity of a Trainer. The role also requires flexibility to provide instruction on a range of additional topics as needed, in alignment with organisational training requirements.
    - Lead, coordinate and advocate the activities related to SMS implementation
    - Manage the documentation specific to SMS in agreement with the SMS Corporate manual.
    - Promote two-way communication regarding safety issues at all levels of the organisation.
    - Make sure that the necessary means to implement the SMS on the site are sufficient
    - Prepare and lead the site SMS reviews.
    **Job Requirements**
    - Analyse trends relating to hazards, events and occurrences and implement the measures necessary for the treatment of safety problems.
    - Ensure the reporting of SMS specific KPI's both internally at Safran HE Australia and to the Corporate SMS Manager
    - Contribute to the development of the Safran group safety policy.
    - Coordinate with the SafranHE Australia Pty Ltd WH&S committee to participate in site safety reviews audits.
    - Ensure requirements of the Safran HE Charter of SMS Managers is complied with.
    - Lead, coordinate and advocate the activities related to Risk Management
    - Actively oversee the Business Continuity Planning and implementation. Coaching and mentoring other Quality Engineers and Process owners through this process will be required.
    - Assist with the management and maintenance of the Inspection and Test Equipment calibration process and system database as directed.
    We are looking for:
    - Minimum of five years engineering experience in either the aviation or automotive industry.
    - Minimum tertiary qualifications - Certificate IV Aero skills (Mechanical) or equivalent.
    - Leadership skills
    - Green Belt and/ or Black Belt certification will be well regarded but not essential.
    - French language skills will be well regarded but are not essential.
    - Internal Auditor and/ or Lead Auditor qualification will be well regarded.
    - Knowledge of Airworthiness Regulations will be well regarded.
    - A qualification gained as a Certificate IV Workplace Trainer and Assessor will be highly regarded but is not essential.

    Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.
    The Regulatory Communications Specialist - APAC will be the external point of contact for Project Kuiper's service compliance obligation deliverables in front of Asia Pacific telecommunications regulators. This role will use their specific knowledge of communications regulation to advance Kuiper's policy interests by coordinating complex compliance filings, maintaining effective lines-of-communication with relevant regulatory bodies and developing mechanisms to ensure scalability.
    This position may require access to information, technology, or hardware that is subject to export control laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Employment in this position is contingent upon obtaining any required export licenses or other approvals from the United States government. As such, the successful candidate must be eligible to obtain any necessary export licenses or approvals based on their nationality, citizenship, and any other factors considered by the applicable export control regulations.
    Key job responsibilities
    * Interface directly with APAC Regulators to drive Kuiper Compliance strategy and perform advocacy consistent with Kuiper's policy priorities
    * Develop and optimize mechanisms to ensure accurate and timely filing of complex communications service provider compliance filings
    * Align with Compliance, Legal, Regulatory, Public Policy and Global Expansions on strategy for Communications Service Provider compliance matters
    * Drive timely and accurate compliance filings related to the regulatory obligations that arise as a result of Project Kuiper's status as a communications service provider (e.g., revenue reporting, subscribership reports, outage reporting, customer complaints)
    * Coordinate across Kuiper entities, and across Amazon addressing the unique nature of Kuiper operating as a global Communications Service Provider
    Basic Qualifications
    * Experience performing regulatory advocacy to support complex compliance requirements
    * Experience supporting the Telecommunications/Satellite industry or other highly regulated industries on compliance matters
    Preferred Qualifications
    * Direct knowledge of APAC communications regulatory frameworks highly preferred
    * Excellent ability to build strong relationships with internal and external clients
    * Experience working directly with regulators on communications compliance obligations
    * Experience translating complex compliance requirements into operational processes
    * Second APAC language skills highly preferred
