We’re seeking a Practice and Compliance Specialist to join our passionate central Early Learning team. Reporting to the Governance, Care and Practice Manager, you’ll provide expert coaching and support to early learning services across NSW and ACT – strengthening pedagogy, inclusive practices and compliance with child-safe and legislative standards.

What you’ll do:

  • Drive consistent, inclusive, high-quality practice and child-safe environments across Uniting's early learning and outside school hours care services.
  • Work closely with Centre Directors and Area Managers to prepare for and navigate the Assessment and Rating process.
  • Coach and mentor Early Childhood Teachers and educators to improve pedagogical practice through reflection, evidence-informed learning, and positive reinforcement.
  • Support services to implement policies and procedures aligned with National Law, Regulations and Uniting’s internal quality frameworks.
  • Lead professional learning, policy implementation and system improvements that embed continuous quality improvement.
  • Develop tools and strategies to help services meet their compliance obligations while maintaining a focus on meaningful, child-centred delivery.
  • Build strong, respectful partnerships – even in complex or high-pressure settings – with service leaders and stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Represent Uniting in sector forums, strategic projects, and collaborative external relationships.

    You will also have:

    • Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or equivalent
    • At least 3 years’ experience in service leadership and leading through an Assessment and Rating process
    • Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Law and Regulations, and Early Years Learning Frameworks
    • Experience with Child Safe Standards and/or child protection frameworks
    • A strong understanding of inclusion, compliance and evidence-based early childhood practice
    • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills – with the ability to build trust and engage confidently with diverse leadership styles
    • Experience using digital documentation platforms
    • A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly across NSW and ACT

    Responsibilities:
    + Provide pre sales support to the ANZ BDM team through the facilitation of in depth customer needs analysis and product demonstrations .

    The Senior Project Engineer may supervise several project personnel to achieve project objectives. They coordinate with other parts of the organization and report directly to project management. The Senior Project Engineer may act as deputy Project Management and be able to take over for the PM at a particular stage of the project.

    + Document substantive communications (communications that result in significant decisions or assignment of actions) and forward copies to the Engineering Project Manager
    + Facilitate the development and monitor closeout of technical queries to obtain missing information, clarify work scope, and maintain preferred McDermott procedures, specifications, standards, practices, and operational requirement
    + Coordinate and progress site queries related to subcontracted works
    + Review project schedule and fabrication schedule about construction sequence, milestones, and engineering scope, checking for alignment

    + Keep the Project Engineering Manager apprised of all activities and concerns, technical, budgetary, and workforce-related
    + Monitor work in progress and compile weekly/monthly reports on the status of each activity
    + Gather and assemble inputs for actual, planning, and forecasting progress reports, including associated productivity
    + Monitor KPI measurement results and alert Discipline Leads as necessary to take timely corrective action to avoid negative consequences to the project
    + Participate in safety/operability/reliability studies and workshops as necessary
    + Participate in 3D model reviews, as necessary
    + Coordinate and participate in Constructability reviews, as necessary
    + Travel as necessary to attend Customer and project meetings and to facilitate the resolution of Engineering interface issues, including traveling to other Engineering offices, Fabrication yards, and Offshore
    + Attend Technical Quality Audit reviews as necessary
    **Essential Qualifications and Education:**
    + Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, or project management
    + 5-8 years of engineering discipline experience with a major contractor or consultant in an office, primarily performing detail engineering
    + Good knowledge of discipline design techniques, analysis methods, and general workflow
    + Preferably a registered professional engineer or member of a professional engineering society

    The Regulatory Communications Specialist - APAC will be the external point of contact for Project Kuiper's service compliance obligation deliverables in front of Asia Pacific telecommunications regulators. This role will use their specific knowledge of communications regulation to advance Kuiper's policy interests by coordinating complex compliance filings, maintaining effective lines-of-communication with relevant regulatory bodies and developing mechanisms to ensure scalability.
    This position may require access to information, technology, or hardware that is subject to export control laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
