What can you expect on a day-to-day basis?
+ Managing end-to-end construction projects including new builds and refurbishments, ensuring they're delivered on time, on budget, and to McDonald's brand and safety standards

The Data Center CM will be responsible for:
- Project management and oversight of construction related activities for new builds or general capital projects in Melbourne. This will include the ownership of the project scope, timeline, and budget.
- Driving costs down and schedules shorter while maintaining quality.
- Provide Construction Management for specific initiatives aimed at increasing the resiliency of our data centers.
- Review of constructability of electrical and mechanical system and buiding designs associated with the construction of new data centers or the optimization of existing data centers.
- Creation of project scope and equipment requirements, assist with request for proposals, and capital requests.
- Total project quality including the assisting with commissioning and integrated system testing and oversight of the execution of the project.
- Issue/Manage the Request for Information process during construction and coordinate construction administration with engineers
- Recording and reporting key metrics to team members and management.
- Concurrently managing multiple projects including new data center building and capital improvement projects associated with existing data centers.
- Operational support of installed facilities including review of procedures, best practices, and maintenance initiatives.
- Be a leader within the group as well as within internal and external teams that support the data center.
- Travel to datacenter sites for electrical systems audits, mechanical system reviews, constructability reviews, startup testing, and full commissioning, as required.
Hold or be able to attain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance (see day in the life
AWS Construction Managers lead the delivery of our Data Center projects. They work closely with Internal Stakeholders and Contractors, resolving project issues, managing RFIs, Change Orders and other key delivery functions. Our CMs spend the majority of the week on site working closely with our vendors to drive project outcomes.

Basic Qualifications
- Experience in design and construction management experience
- Experience in program management in mission critical facilities
- Experience in reading and interpreting construction related drawings for all disciplines

- Previous vendor and contractor/ subcontractor negotiation and management skills associated with construction and project execution.
- Experience in mechanical and electrical systems.
- Experience of full project lift cycle from concept to completion.
- Prior experience working with Construction companies.

In addition, the role encompasses leadership of Safran Helicopter Engines Australia's Safety Management System (SMS) and Risk Programs, with a particular focus on the proactive identification, analysis, and mitigation of operational risks to enhance organisational resilience and safety performance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Attend and act as coach at assigned Quick Response Quality Control (QRQC) ritual meetings to ensure the QRQC methodology is being practiced as intended.
- Promote the dedicated Problem-Solving Methodology, by assisting and training employees daily
- Fulfill a coaching and mentoring role by supporting the implementation of corrective actions through the application of established problem-solving methodologies
- Support process owners and their teams with the creation and maintenance of their associated One Safran process documentation (Procedures, Instructions, templates etc.) as required.
- Conduct audits in accordance with the established annual audit plan, and where necessary, issue Corrective Action Requests (CARs), Opportunities for Improvement (OFIs), and electronic QRQCs (e-QRQCs), while providing guidance to pilots in the application of appropriate problem-solving methodologies.
- Perform Basic Audits as per the annual schedule and as directed.
- Deliver Aviation Safety and Part 145 & MOE training in the capacity of a Trainer. The role also requires flexibility to provide instruction on a range of additional topics as needed, in alignment with organisational training requirements.
- Lead, coordinate and advocate the activities related to SMS implementation
- Manage the documentation specific to SMS in agreement with the SMS Corporate manual.
- Promote two-way communication regarding safety issues at all levels of the organisation.
- Make sure that the necessary means to implement the SMS on the site are sufficient
- Prepare and lead the site SMS reviews.
**Job Requirements**
- Analyse trends relating to hazards, events and occurrences and implement the measures necessary for the treatment of safety problems.
- Ensure the reporting of SMS specific KPI's both internally at Safran HE Australia and to the Corporate SMS Manager
- Contribute to the development of the Safran group safety policy.
- Coordinate with the SafranHE Australia Pty Ltd WH&S committee to participate in site safety reviews audits.
- Ensure requirements of the Safran HE Charter of SMS Managers is complied with.
- Lead, coordinate and advocate the activities related to Risk Management
- Actively oversee the Business Continuity Planning and implementation. Coaching and mentoring other Quality Engineers and Process owners through this process will be required.
- Assist with the management and maintenance of the Inspection and Test Equipment calibration process and system database as directed.
We are looking for:
- Minimum of five years engineering experience in either the aviation or automotive industry.
- Minimum tertiary qualifications - Certificate IV Aero skills (Mechanical) or equivalent.
- Leadership skills
- Green Belt and/ or Black Belt certification will be well regarded but not essential.
- French language skills will be well regarded but are not essential.
- Internal Auditor and/ or Lead Auditor qualification will be well regarded.
- Knowledge of Airworthiness Regulations will be well regarded.
- A qualification gained as a Certificate IV Workplace Trainer and Assessor will be highly regarded but is not essential.
