# Job Summary:
In this role, you will report to the Program Director Capital Projects, and you will provide oversight of all construction operations in the Capital Projects Program, which comprises a diverse mix of projects across the airport. You will provide oversight to teams that monitor contractor planning, quality, interfaces, safety, construction, traffic and logistics, and completions within the landside precinct where you will monitor that the contractors are compliant with project policies, procedures, site rules and procedures, and are performing within specifications and schedules.

# Major Responsibilities:
+ Proactively engages with their team's development through continuous performance management, competency development and feedback.
+ Ensure that the work by contractors is undertaken in a manner that addresses and eliminates personnel and environmental hazards, and ensure that risk analysis, health risk assessments, and work method statements, where required, are in place.
+ Provides consultation, technical guidance and direction to Construction and other support functions.
+ Manages the successful completion of activities related to the construction of assigned scope.
+ Oversees the review of standard plans and specifications for constructability.
+ Participates in technical meetings with Project Contractors.
+ Interfaces with Project Contractors to review construction methods for assigned scope.
+ Participates in engineering, construction and management review meetings.
+ Ensures the Project Contractor's construction program tools and deliverables meet contract requirements, and are consistent across assigned area.
+ Acts as liaison between engineering and construction.
+ Ensure the contractor is executing the contract in line with the terms & conditions set out.

+ Manages the work efforts of managers or professionals.
+ Responsible for staffing decisions, performance appraisals, and pay reviews.

+ Typically requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13-15 years of relevant experience or 17-19 years of relevant work experience
# Required Knowledge and Skills:
+ Demonstrated experience in the successful management of major projects in the infrastructure and aviation industries.
+ Knowledge of the principles of health & safety, quality and environment legislation and best practice.
+ Known for high level of interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrable delivery of leadership and behavioural change within a large organisation and with outside organizations.
+ Computer literate in MS Office and database applications as well as PowerBI required.
+ Ability to influence and engage in a collaborative working environment with internal and external stakeholders while maintaining necessary levels of commercial awareness.

Job Description
As a Project Manager at Thredbo, your primary responsibility is to oversee the execution of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and with minimal disruption to Kosciusko Thredbo's (KT) year-round operations. You will be entrusted with the end-to-end project delivery, encompassing contractor engagement, construction phase management, commissioning, managing practical completion, attainment of occupation certificates, managing project ownership handover etc. Your role may involve contributing to scope-of-work development and participating in contract negotiations.
You will be required to act as the main point of contact between KT and project stakeholders
to ensure that the desired project objectives are delivered. You must have adequate knowledge and
information about the business and project to make informed decisions.
You will be required to direct and minute meetings, encourage discussion on issues affecting KT in the wider commercial and operational context and be responsible for coordinating the project scope-of-work not covered by the contract, i.e. tasks assigned internally to KT.

About the Role
- Manage relationships to ensure effective communication and outcomes between all stakeholders.
- Take responsibility for overall project management. Where in-house resources are required, liaise with the respective managers to manage this aspect. Manage within project budgets and allocated time frames, including risk allowance
- Liaise with KT’s various managers and other project stakeholders with a plan to avoid or minimise impacts on KT’s year round operations during project works.
- Manage delivery requirements in accordance with all development approval documentation, project budgets and allocated time frames, including risk allowance.
- Liaise with and manage contractors from official engagement through to Project Completion.
- Maintain currency of consultant’s and contractor’s compliance and WHS documentation in KT’s system.
- Oversee KT’s compliance with contractor’s site WHS requirements.
- Establish project control documentation systems.
- Be prepared to act as KT’s representative in formal contracts, i.e. act as the Principal’s Representative (as required).
- Support KT’s planning approvals team with site specific information where requested to enable the timely submission of development applications etc.
- Assist with preparation of design briefs / scope-of-work definitions for the purpose of tendering when required.
- Assist with establishment of asset management programs for completed projects including reporting requirements and preventative maintenance programs.
- From time to time, assist the Resort Maintenance Manager with maintenance efforts as your primary role workload may permit and as approved by your manager.
About You
- Previous experience in Construction Project Management including the ability to drive cost effective construction solutions.
- Previous experience navigating DA, CC & OC planning requirements.
- Ability to monitor budgets, construction scheduling and provide reporting
- Have excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Commitment to safety, quality and environmental compliance.
- Hold a white card and valid driver’s license.

This is an Expression of Interest for Technical Project Management & Support ( AGSVA-cleared Program Managers, Project Managers, Support, Coordinators, Schedule & Project Controls ) who are based in Sydney or willing to relocate.
