**Description**
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Principal Civil Engineer to join our Community Development team in Southeast Queensland. In this role you will oversee the civil design and documentation on a variety of urban, land and subdivision projects in both the public and private sectors, across an extensive regional client portfolio. You will have the opportunity to resolve design constraints, coordinating projects, interfacing with various disciplines and deliver projects with the support of a multi-disciplinary team. The role can be based in either Maroochydore (Sunshine Coast), Carrara (Gold Coast or Springfield (Ipswich) Stantec office.

The Principal Civil Engineer will also be involved in initiating and managing business development opportunities, actively participate in and lead client service through establishing and maintaining strong relationships.
**Day to day tasks would involve:**
+ Design, coordination and project management of urban, land and subdivision projects, from feasibility through to construction
+ Prepare technical reports and specifications
+ Provide technical expertise to clients and support projects
+ Manage projects including scheduling and the preparation of project budgets
+ Coordinate between disciplines on multidisciplinary projects
+ Prepare and review proposals, variation estimates and submission documents
+ Contribute to the development of Stantec's knowledge and skills in civil engineering including planning, design, and construction
+ Maintain existing and develop new, trusted relationships with key clients
+ Assist in the securing and delivery of projects by way of business development and client relationship management
**What you will bring to the team**
+ Bachelor of Civil Engineering
+ Substantial experience in civil engineering design and the delivery of **urban development** projects (essential)
+ Experience and a sound understanding of current civil engineering technologies, including design, modelling and construction
+ Project management skills
+ Business development skills, local industry knowledge and connections in the market
+ Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including report writing.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fine woodworking, cabinetry, and furniture making, with the ability to work on both custom residential projects and commercial fit outs. You will be responsible for crafting high-quality, precision-built cabinetry, furniture, and fittings while adhering to technical specifications and design requirements.
DUTIES:
Project Planning & Interpretation
• Review technical drawings, work orders, and sample components to determine project specifications. < r>• ccurately measure, mark, and plan material requirements for efficient fabrication. < r>Material Selection & Preparation
