**What will you be doing?**
As Consulting Systems Engineer, you will be at the forefront of providing exceptional technical support to our Australian clients, ensuring they receive tailored solutions that meet and exceed their requirements. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting WWT's largest Enterprise customers across Australia and New Zealand.
**Essential Functions:**
+ Create and Document a Client Architecture Plan: that outlines key areas for discovery in a templated and programmatic manner, for a subset of WWT's Australian Customers. Update this plan quarterly.
+ Engage in Technical Pre-Sales Engineering: Leverage your technical expertise to understand client challenges and position solutions that not only meet but surpass customer requirements across a range of technologies.
+ Deep Client Understanding: Work closely with clients and the WWT Sales team to gain a profound understanding of customer technical priorities, challenges, and initiatives that can be translated into tailored IT solutions.
+ Deliver High-Quality Pre-Sales Solutions: Take responsibility for the development and quality of pre-sales technology solution deliverables within the domain of sales opportunities. This may include creating technical proposals, architectural diagrams, and service scopes.
+ Requirements and Scoping Workshops: Actively participate in requirements and scoping workshops with customers, delivery partners, and Sales.
+ Build Relationships: Develop and foster strong relationships with strategic original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and key services partners local to your region and territory.
+ Trusted Advisor: Act as a trusted advisor for the Engineering team, offering guidance on architecture and leading other consultants on solutions and optimization services.
+ Consultative Support: Provide consultative support for enterprise solutions, covering a spectrum of technologies.
+ Strong Client Relationships: Develop and maintain robust relationships with customer technical management and teams.
+ Identifies services opportunities and works with team to propose solutions and engagements across the WWT portfolio.
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**
10-15 years of industry experience in client-side senior roles, or technology integrators, or manufacturers. Architectural and technical experience with applications, Infrastructure, Cyber, Cloud, and Networking, Data Center, and End User Experience solutions. Ideally strong Application development technology and Application Architecture history and understanding of current trends and migration strategies. Deep Skills and Knowledge as a Subject Matter Expert in 2 or more critical parts of infrastructure.
Industry Level Certifications including CCDE, CCIE, CISSP, CDP, MCSE AWS, Azure, GCP, etc. Experience in consulting with Fortune 500 IT leadership on deployment of technology solutions, ideally in a sales environment. Ideally working with clients in a digital transformation and operating model design and deployment. Architectural training and/or experience in common methodologies including TOGAF, UAM, etc.
Familiarity with Big Data, AI, automation, end user experience and service management technologies along with cloud technologies including containers, Kubernetes, cloud-native services, storage, networking, and commercial models at a high level.
Strong presentation skills and understanding of business impact of technology decisions. Motivated to win in selling situations by solving client issues. Passion for learning, with focus on constant expansion of technical knowledge.
**Experience/Background Desired:**
+ 5+ years of experience in pre-sales engineering and Solution Architecture in Enterprise domains.
+ 5+ years of experience in Networking-related fields.
