Services within Mastercard is responsible for acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving the digital payments experience. We provide value-added services and leverage expertise, data-driven insights, and execution. Our Advisors & Consulting Services team combines traditional management consulting with Mastercard's rich data assets, proprietary platforms, and technologies to provide clients with powerful strategic insights and recommendations. Our teams work with a diverse global customer base across industries, from banking and payments to retail and restaurants.
The Advisors & Consulting Services group has five specializations: Strategy & Transformation, Performance Analytics, Business Experimentation, Marketing, and Program Management. Our Business Experimentation consultants advise executives on business decisions using Mastercard's industry-leading predictive analytics SaaS platform, Test & Learn®. They work with customers to identify key priorities, then design and run business experiments to establish which ideas work and how to deploy them.

· Provide creative input on projects across a range of industries and problem statements

Qualifications
Basic qualifications
· Undergraduate degree with work experience in consulting, technology, or data science, or proven work experience related to data driven analysis

· Advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills

Technology is key to all M&A transactions and is often the largest source of cost, complexity and effort in separating or integrating organisations. Our Technology M&A team advise and support clients across a wide range of industries in navigating all facets of the M&A lifecycle (transaction/ deal strategy, pre-deal due diligence, as well as integration/separation planning and execution) from a Technology perspective. We help our clients to identify, architect and quantify technology considerations, values and risks during acquisition, integration or separation processes. We also support our clients throughout the end-to-end M&A process from due diligence through to separation or integration.
What will your typical day look like?
Your role as a Consultant will focus on working towards the delivery of project artefacts on client engagements, as well as supporting internal sales and practice development activities. You will be responsible for the following:
Support the delivery of reports, strategies, plans, designs, business cases and other client deliverables on Technology M&A engagements, including transaction strategy, planning and execution and through to integration/separation from a technology perspective;
Collaborate within the project team to work on complex client engagements that identify, design, and implement business and technology solutions for clients in M&A context;
Showing a good understanding of technology, vendors and industries in which our clients operate;
Support proposal development for future client engagements, demonstrating risk management awareness;
Support marketing initiatives and practice development activities (e.g. key client account management, propositions, training, marketing, communications and recruitment activities); and
Liaise with client stakeholders and maintain strong relationships.

You are someone who has or can demonstrate:
1-2 years of experience (preferred but not critical) in assessing, planning and implementing Technology integration, separation or due diligence projects associated with M&A activities;
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to communicate clearly and concisely with clients, stakeholders and teams, as well as the ability to adapt to technical and non-technical audiences;
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment;
Proficient financial modelling and analytical skills;

Adept at building strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and clients;
Applying practical experience with communications, culture, and change management;

As a member of our M&A Finance capability, you will have experience supporting finance teams and CFOs in preparing for and navigating the operational implications of a transaction; from integration/separation planning to a stable Day 1 and ultimately optimising the finance function post deal.
This will require you to bring a strategic point of view, structured problem solving, great consulting skills and a holistic understanding of finance and accounting as you gain exposure across a broad range of deal constructs; trade sales, IPOs, demergers, takeovers and privatisations.

As an Associate Managing Consultant, you will manage multiple projects within a portfolio providing efficient and effective coordination of a complex range of activities by clearly defining project team and stakeholder roles and responsibilities that are aligned with the delivery of the expected benefits. You will also ensure effective identification of risks and pro-active solutioning to mitigate risks and impact on timelines.
All About You
- Experience in delivery of large, complex projects / programs of diverse size in a cross-functional, multicultural environment
- Formally trained in a range of project management and change management methodologies and techniques; accredited in one or more recognized PM/PMO/ Change/Service management methodologies is an advantage
- Able to plan and manage a multi-workstream program from inception to delivery providing support, direction and / or technical expertise to the project team across multiple disciplines and geographies
- Develop strong presence in the client organization extending beyond the immediate boundaries of the program
- Bring interesting & relevant industry perspectives, insights and ideas to key stakeholders in the client organization

All About Your Education & Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification. Advanced degree or MBA preferred
- 4-6 years of Project Management experience
- Professional accreditation such as Project Management Professional (PMP) desirable
- Exposure specifically in payments and/or retail banking or merchants and/or consultancies.
- Comfortable with significant client interaction and interest in building relationships
- Ability to perform multiple tasks with multiple clients in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
