1. **Support Development of Strategic Plans and Initiatives:** Provide analytics support to Product, Acquisition, Loyalty, Partnership, and Marketing teams on the development of key strategic initiatives. This will include end to end analytics from writing code to pulling data, reviewing the data with manager, packaging data, deriving insights, and presenting to partners.
2. **Compliance and Operational Risk:** Create analytics to support American Express' response to a rapidly changing regulatory environment. Develop and automate reporting to assist with identification and remediation of operational risk events, compliance with regulation, and ensure all reporting documentation is complete and well maintained.
3. **Program Analytics:** Ongoing analysis of key product metrics, profitability levers, customer behaviours, and trends. Generate insights and analysis to support portfolio management.
4. **Management of Analytical Databases:** Production and upkeep of internal databases, run and refreshed on a regular basis. Investigate and problem solve if issues arise with existing processes.
**Requirements/Competencies:**
+ Strong technical background in analytics and stakeholder management.
+ Expertise in coding skills with emphasis on SQL, Python, and BigQuery.
+ Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
+ Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.
+ Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to turn data into insights.
+ High attention to detail & strong time management skills.
+ Ability to influence leaders/partners & strong communication skills.
