THE ROLE:
Austrade is seeking skilled specialists (2) to join the Cybersecurity and Risk team as Cybersecurity Analysts. The roles will assist in the delivery of cybersecurity in Austrade, including governance, risk and compliance activities and cyber operations.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Analysing Information Communications Technology (ICT) services and associated security systems to identify irregularities and minimise risk
- Preparing risk assessments in line with Australian government requirements
- Monitoring and responding to cybersecurity incidents and threats
- Auditing and tuning security measures and tools to optimise efficiency
- Conducting independent research, analysis and reporting on security vulnerabilities
- Preparing and maintaining policies, procedures and registers
- Engaging with internal stakeholders and vendor representatives to gather and synthesise information
- Working collaboratively as part of a small, high performing team
- Taking responsibility for the achievement of own outcomes, monitoring progress and following through in order to deliver quality results

As the Triton Cybersecurity GRC Lead, you'll maintain, support, and enhance the cybersecurity program for Northrop Grumman's MQ-4C Triton. We are seeking a Cyber Engagement & Uplift Officer to support its cybersecurity function by leading user engagement, training, communications, and knowledge management activities. The role plays a key part in helping the Department meet its obligations under the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) , the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM) , and the Essential Eight .
This position aligns with the Australian Public Service Cyber Security Classification Framework (SCF) , focusing on stakeholder engagement, secure operations management, and driving behavioural change.
Key Responsibilities Deliver cyber-related initiatives, projects, and continuous improvement activities.Develop and maintain training materials, onboarding resources, and internal communications.Create and update SOPs, guidance notes, and knowledge articles for both cyber teams and end users.Coordinate cyber awareness programs, staff briefings, and targeted training sessions.Engage with business units to identify communication needs and support tool/process adoption.Translate technical content into clear, accessible, and actionable materials.Support stakeholder engagement and cross-team coordination to uplift cyber literacy.Maintain documentation, delivery trackers, and internal records to ensure consistency and auditability.Skills & Experience Ability to work independently within a defined accountability framework.Strong problem-solving and communication skills.Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and user engagement strategies.Experience in developing instructional content and facilitating training.Familiarity with PSPF, ISM, and Essential Eight compliance requirements.Undergraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., Cybersecurity, Communications, IT, Business) or equivalent qualification.RequirementsYou must provide a response to each criterion.
