We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Lead Data Engineer with over 15 years of expertise in data engineering, architecture, and enterprise data management. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS Redshift, AWS DMS, AWS S3, Databricks, Fivetran, DBT & ETL tools(like Informatica/SSIS) along with knowledge of Guidewire ClaimCenter and PolicyCenter for insurance domain data integration. The National Measurement Institute (NMI) is a large division within the Department of Industry, Science, and Resources (DISR). The NMI supports DISR in meeting its objectives by being the national authority on measurement. We play a fundamental role underpinning the Australian economy by maintaining and regulating Australia’s measurement system, developing and maintaining national measurement standards, and delivering world-class measurement products and client services.

NMI’s Legal Metrology Branch plays an important role in ensuring Australian consumers and industry can rely on trusted measurements for fair trade in goods and services. The Data Architect will support the Legal Metrology Branch to deliver a major IT enhancement project for DISR; the Trade Measurement Activity and Reporting System Phase 4 Enhancement Project (the project). The project will deliver critical enhancements to the Microsoft Dynamics Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and associated NMI Services Portal (NMISP) as part of NMI’s broader digital strategy.

**Position Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Test Architect with Data Analyst skills who has expertise in Databricks, PySpark, MongoDB, and Azure Cloud to lead quality assurance team and data analytics initiatives across our enterprise data platforms. This role involves designing and implementing automated testing frameworks to validate data pipelines, transformations, and storage systems, ensuring high data quality and integrity. In addition to QA leadership, the role requires working with various data analytics tools and techniques to generate impactful insights that support strategic business decisions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data warehouse technologies, cloud-based architecture and data modelling, with a solid understanding of business intelligence principles and cloud computing platforms such as Azure, AWS, and GCP. Familiarity with data architecture, data warehouse models, Kimball methodology, dimensional modelling, and the Data Vault approach is essential. We are seeking a technically capable and motivated IT Architect to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of data centre and infrastructure solutions across a diverse regional environment. As part of a collaborative APAC team, this role contributes to the delivery of secure, reliable, and efficient IT services across multiple L3Harris subsidiaries.
The successful candidate will act as a technical contact on infrastructure-related projects, working closely with peers, stakeholders, vendors, subject matter experts within and beyond the Asia Pacific region, and service owners to ensure solutions meet operational requirements and compliance standards. The role also includes occasional customer support, particularly in escalated or high-impact scenarios.
An understanding of defence-grade security requirements is desirable, along with experience supporting audit activities such as Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP).

Key Responsibilities:
