About the role
The Configuration and Data Manager reports to the Program Management Office and is required to regularly interface with multiple disciplines and levels of management to ensure adequate control and traceability of all program artefacts throughout the program lifecycle.
What the role will involve
The responsibilities of your role will include the following:
+ Design and establish configuration management and data management documentation, utilising the SharePoint systems in place
+ Where necessary, establish, modify and implement SharePoint workflows and data structures to enable fulfillment of effective Data and Configuration Management for the Project
+ Maintains the Knowledge Management System, and controls, for sharing of configuration-controlled data within the consortium and with the Customers.
+ Analyse proposed product design changes to determine the effect on the overall system
+ Establish, manage and maintain system baselines in the ARAS Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool (Functional, Allocated, Product)
+ Authorise the release of software and drawings and changes specified by Program or Engineering Management
+ Provide advice and guidance on methods, procedures and requirements to individuals responsible for the creation of documentation
+ Act as liaison between management and other functional groups to resolve issues regarding configuration analysis documentation
+ Perform audits to verify compliance with contract requirements
+ Perform Hardware Configuration Management (HWCM) responsibilities for planning, identification, change management, status accounting, verification and audit of hardware configuration items to include the review, approval & release of COTS parts
+ Perform Physical and Functional Configuration Audits should they be specified
+ Perform Software Configuration Management (SWCM) responsibilities for the verification of change content for release of software & software documents through SWCM
+ Perform Data Management (DM) responsibilities for the administration and change control of program documents; forms; templates; policies; process directives, procedures, work instructions and the vaulting of master documents, white papers and patents
+ Implement configuration management program plans in accordance with company policy and contractual requirements
+ Establish SWCM, HWCM and DM work instructions and procedures
+ Analyse proposed product design changes to determine their effect on the overall system
+ Facilitate Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) and authorise the release of drawings, software, documents and changes specified by Engineering
+ Administer existing configuration management toolsets, including records management and end user access control
+ Participate in multi-discipline teams on various assignments
What you'll bring
The role requires the following experience and skills:
+ Current clearance or ability to obtain a clearance;
+ 5+ years experience working in Agile development environments;
+ Experience with Product Lifecyle Management (PLM) tools, specifically ARAS;
+ 5+ years experience with Configuration and Data Management tools, specifically Confluence and Jira
+ 5+ years experience in a Configuration Management role;
+ Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience, Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience or equivalent, relevant industry experience.

Basic Qualifications

- Issue/Manage the Request for Information process during construction and coordinate construction administration with engineers
- Recording and reporting key metrics to team members and management.
- Concurrently managing multiple projects including new data center building and capital improvement projects associated with existing data centers.
- Operational support of installed facilities including review of procedures, best practices, and maintenance initiatives.
- Be a leader within the group as well as within internal and external teams that support the data center.
A day in the life
AWS Construction Managers lead the delivery of our Data Center projects. They work closely with Internal Stakeholders and Contractors, resolving project issues, managing RFIs, Contracts and other key delivery functions. Our CMs spend the majority of the week on site working closely with our vendors to drive project outcomes.

Amazon Construction Managers (CMs) are always at the forefront of the construction industry in terms of innovation, and maintain a focus to deliver the most innovative products to our customers. Our data centers are industry leading facilities in terms of energy efficiency and cost effectiveness. The Data Center CM is ultimately responsible for the day to day construction oversight and management of the contractors. The CM will also be utilized as a leader in their specific discipline (construction management, building services, architectural, electrical or mechanical engineering) and shall be responsible as a team member for delivering construction of some of the most sophisticated electrical and mechanical systems in the world.

Daily responsibilities will include all aspects of the entire data center lifecycle construction starting with the site feasibility, through the procurement of the design teams and design review, daily construction oversight, and commissioning of completed facilities.
Key job responsibilities
- Project management and oversight of construction related activities for new builds or general capital projects. This will include the ownership of the project scope, timeline, and budgets.
- Driving costs down and schedules shorter while maintaining quality.
- Provide Construction Management for specific initiatives aimed at increasing the resiliency of our data centers.
- Review of constructability of electrical and mechanical system and building designs associated with the construction of new data centers or the optimization of existing data centers.
- Creation of project scope and equipment requirements, assist with request for proposals, and capital requests. - Total project quality including the assisting with commissioning and integrated system testing and oversight of the execution of the project.
- Issue/Manage the Request for Information process during construction and coordinate construction administration with engineers
- Recording and reporting key metrics to team members and management.
- Concurrently managing multiple projects including new data center building and capital improvement projects associated with existing data centers.
- Operational support of installed facilities including review of procedures, best practices, and maintenance initiatives.
- Be a leader within the group as well as within internal and external teams that support the data center.
A day in the life
AWS Construction Managers lead the delivery of our Data Center projects. They work closely with Internal Stakeholders and Contractors, resolving project issues, managing RFIs, Contracts and other key delivery functions. Our CMs spend the majority of the week on site working closely with our vendors to drive project outcomes.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering, or 3+ years of relevant experience within industry.
- 3+ years' experience working for a major developer, client site, major general contractors or similar.
- 3+ years in Design review, Constructability, Value Engineering & Safety in Design
- Proficiency in MS applications, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or 3-5 years of relevant experience within industry.

Key job responsibilities
The AWS Infrastructure Capacity Delivery team is searching for a passionate and talented Senior Technical Programme Manager to support projects growing our Data Centre infrastructure. The TPM will lead cross functional and technical teams to deliver new Data Centres. This will extend from strategy, design, budget, design, implementation, testing, and deployment, including all the dependencies needed to delivery new data centre infrastructure.
At AWS, along with technical knowledge, we expect our leaders to interact with customers, partners and suppliers to understand our business goals and priorities, and to execute rapidly, delivering high-quality results. The candidate will be comfortable in managing remote project delivery teams, and possess the ability to facilitate technical sessions to troubleshoot issues and remove barriers to project success. The TPM will be able to build cross-functional matrix-based teams, establish trust with a variety of stakeholders across multiple time zones, manage capital budgets, eliminate unnecessary activity, design solutions, remove blockers, and find creative ways to accelerate project delivery.
The TPM will be familiar with a variety of project management tools, methodologies and techniques for all phases of the project lifecycle. They'll be able to exhibit demonstrated experience in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality and risk management, reporting and metric development/tracking. Other requirements include experience with MS Office, MS Project and MS SharePoint.
