AWS Infrastructure Operations - Physical Security are looking for exceptional Project Security Officer's to assist with the management and delivery of project security requirements on an upcoming large-scale project.
These are site-based roles, responsible for assisting our project team to manage physical security, in line with client security requirements and the project security plan.
You must obsess over internal and external customers and successfully deliver support and services in an environment where priorities shift extremely fast. You must be able to operate independently to manage security projects, continuously triage and prioritize accordingly, communicate clearly and compellingly (without PowerPoint), Think Big and outside the box, and Deliver Results.
Key job responsibilities
- Serve as the AWS primary security liaison maintaining daily communication with Regional Security Manager, Data Centre Security Manager, client security representatives, certifying authorities and other relevant personnel.
- Provide comprehensive security oversight throughout the construction phase, ensuring delivery of fit-for-purpose and certifiable facilities through attendance at security assurance Hold and Witness Point inspections.

- Create, implement, communicate, and manage security requirements at a large, government accredited sites, while providing day-to-day multi-discipline program security operations support.

You will be responsible for managing the on-site operational physical security of our Data Center and will have a thorough knowledge of access control systems and process, guard force management, reporting security metrics, security audits and incident reporting.
You will also understand and maintain compliance requirements with international standards such as (SOC1, SOC2 and ISO27001). As the Regional Manager of the Cleared Escort Program, you will manage a crucial internal security service that ensures construction and operations activities comply with strict government security regulations. Your primary focus will be providing and managing cleared security escorts for both new data center developments and existing facility expansions, maintaining the delicate balance between operational efficiency and security compliance.
This role is instrumental in implementing and overseeing security protocols that safeguard sensitive areas while facilitating necessary work by uncleared personnel. You will coordinate cleared escorting services across a multifaceted organisational landscape. Your role involves interfacing with diverse technical teams, while also
collaborating with supply chain experts, construction personnel, security specialists, and operations managers. You will serve as the primary representative for the Cleared Escorting team in strategic contract discussions, with dual responsibilities in managing both supply and demand aspects. On the supply side, you will oversee escort vendor relationships and management and establish a centralised pool of escorting resources. On the demand side, you will engage with various stakeholders throughout the matrix organization to assess, fulfill and coordinate their cleared escort support requirements, ensuring alignment between business operations and security protocols.
The ideal candidate for the role will be willing and able to work autonomously with minimal guidance or supervision, build relationships across peer teams, stakeholders, and partner organisations, at all levels, and to be able to influence cooperation in order to achieve program and project progress and completion. You will have an in depth knowledge of security practices and technology, be innovative, highly organised and know how to deliver results on time and on budget.
