What You'll DoIn the role of Tractor Trailer Driver, your duties will include:
+ Receive and Follow Directions: Report to the Foreman or General Foreman to receive assignments, instructions, and directions for daily activities.
+ Plan Work Activities: Read and interpret provided instructions and documentation to effectively plan and organize work activities.
+ Operate Company Vehicles: Safely operate company vehicles with a capacity of up to 30 tons to transport materials, tools, and equipment between work locations, supporting construction and maintenance activities.
+ Materials Transfer: Drive between warehouses to deliver operating materials and supplies, ensuring that items are transported safely and efficiently.
+ Load and Unload Vehicles: Manage the loading and unloading of vehicles, ensuring that all cargo is secure during transit and handled safely upon arrival.
+ Adhere to Safety Protocols: Strictly observe all safety rules and procedures, including the use of required personal safety equipment to maintain a safe work environment.
+ Maintain Vehicle and Equipment: Ensure that all operated vehicles and equipment are maintained in good working condition, reporting any issues to supervisors as necessary.
+ Perform Directed Duties: Complete additional duties and activities as directed by supervisors, which may vary according to specific job site requirements.
+ Document Activities: Keep accurate records of all logistics and transport activities, including details of routes taken, materials transported, and time schedules, to support efficient operations and reporting.
Requirements:
+ Minimum 2 years of Tractor Trailer Driver experience managing similar projects of size, scope and complexity.
+ High School Diploma or GED: Required as a basic educational foundation.
+ Must AUS NV-1 or US Secret Clearance.
+ Hold and maintain the appropriate license (HR - Heavy Rigid) necessary for operating large vehicles, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
+ Proven experience in leading and managing a team of information and telecommunication management professionals.
+ Ability to maximize technical, performance, and operational efficiencies and minimize lifecycle costs.
+ Ability to maximize services and capabilities, provisioned as a service.
+ Ability to work in fast paced environment with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ 5+ years of Tractor Trailer Driver experience managing similar projects of size, scope and complexity.
This role will be located in Alice Springs, at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.#SF

This role involves transporting livestock and other agricultural products across multiple farm sites, ensuring safe and efficient delivery. The successful candidate will play a key part in maintaining the smooth operation of a large-scale farming business that prioritises sustainable and regenerative practices.
This position requires a hands-on professional who is committed to safety, teamwork, and high-quality work standards. You will be responsible for operating heavy vehicles, managing loading/unloading procedures, and ensuring compliance with transport regulations. Livestock Transport & Handling:
• Safely operate and manoeuvre livestock trucks, ensuring proper positioning for stress-free loading and unloading of cattle, sheep, and other livestock. < r>• ollow animal welfare guidelines to minimise distress during transport, including appropriate penning, ventilation, and handling techniques. < r>• C ordinate with farm staff to ensure livestock are loaded efficiently, with attention to breed-specific requirements (e.g., Angus cattle handling protocols). < r>
Loading & Unloading Procedures:
• O erate hydraulic lifts, ramps, and livestock crates to safely load/unload animals, ensuring smooth transitions to avoid injuries. < r>• M nitor livestock behaviour during loading/unloading, adjusting techniques to maintain calm and prevent agitation. < r>• A here to biosecurity measures by cleaning and disinfecting trailers between loads to prevent disease spread. < r>
Vehicle Safety & Maintenance:
• C nduct pre- and post-trip inspections of livestock trucks, checking brakes, flooring, gates, ventilation, and fluid levels to ensure animal safety. < r>• R port mechanical issues promptly to prevent breakdowns that could jeopardise livestock welfare. < r>• E sure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) regulations for heavy vehicle operations. < r>
Load Planning & Compliance:
• C lculate livestock weights and pen distributions to comply with road weight limits and animal density regulations. < r>• A just partitions and bedding as needed to provide stability and comfort during transit. < r>• S cure all gates and restraints to prevent shifting that could harm animals or destabilise the vehicle. < r>
Livestock Documentation & Traceability:
• V rify National Livestock Identification System (NLIS) tags and movement documentation before transport. < r>• I spect livestock for signs of injury or illness prior to loading, reporting any concerns to farm management. < r>• O tain and file delivery dockets, ensuring accurate records for biosecurity and supply chain compliance. < r>
Farm Collaboration & Logistics:
• C ordinate with station managers, shearers, and feedlot operators to align transport schedules with mustering, sales, or processing timelines. < r>• A sist with livestock yard operations when required, including drafting, weighing, or tagging animals. < r>• C mmunicate delays or route changes due to weather or road conditions that may impact animal welfare. < r>
Essential Requirements:
• M nimum 1 year of relevant full-time experience in truck driving. < r>• R levant licensing and qualification. < r>• P oven ability to operate heavy vehicles safely, perform load checks, and follow transport compliance standards. < r>• A ility to work both independently and as part of a farming team. < r>• S rong commitment to safety, reliability, and attention to detail. < r>

What you’ll be doing in this role

p>You’ll provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents living in our aged care home, to help support their independence and improve their quality of life

p>Provide driving services to and be responsible for the welfare and safety of residents and clients travelling between their places of residence and other Uniting Locations and on outings

Assist residents and clients to enter and exit the bus and provide mobility support as required

Provide supervision of residents and clients and ensure their safety always

Assisting with medication and simple wound dressings and

Supporting residents in community-based recreational and social activities.

Who we’re looking for
