    The NDIS Partners in the Community Program (PITC) supports the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) to be implemented locally.
    As an NDIA partner, Northcott will deliver the NDIS Early Childhood Approach (ECA) service to local communities in Northern NSW, Mid North Coast, Hunter New England, North Sydney, and Western Sydney. The EC approach supports activities that improve the independence and social participation of children aged 0-9 with developmental delay and/or disability.

    What I Will Be Doing

    As a Coordinator, I will:

    • Support families through a child and family-centred approach, ensuring children receive the appropriate interventions based on best practice evidence.
    • Use my diploma or higher qualifications in Early Childhood, Allied Health, Social Work, or a related field to support evidence-based decision-making.
    • Complete functional assessments for children with developmental concerns or disabilities, determining their needs and ensuring timely referrals to appropriate support pathways.
    • Connect families to community services and mainstream programs to enhance their social participation and access to essential services.
    • Guide families through NDIS plan reassessments , gathering evidence, assisting with goal development, and ensuring the right support is in place.
    • Utilise the NDIS plan to support children and their families with improved choice, control, social participation, and overall quality of life.

    What will I be doing?

    As an early childhood Administration Officer, I will:

    • Use my relevant qualifications in early childhood & experience in administration to support families on their NDIS journey.
    • Bring my expertise in administration to support children & families as they engage with Northcott in our offices, over the phone and via email.
    • Ensure that families feel welcomed & heard as I facilitate the intake process for children using the NDIS IT system.
    • Use my customer service skills to manage and record feedback, complaints & suggestions from stakeholders in a timely & professional manner.
    • Bring exceptional organisational skills that I can use to manage office areas, ensuring all supplies and resources needed for the team are available in a timely fashion.
    • Demonstrating my excellence & experience in using online databases, Adobe programs & Microsoft Office applications.
