# Job Summary:
In this role, you will conduct field investigations and client interviews to determine work scope and cost estimates for a project's electrical engineering aspects. You will lead design, development, modification, and evaluation of electrical components and processes. Your recommendations will resolve technical issues and ensure uniquely complex requirements of a project's electrical engineering aspects are met.
# Major Responsibilities:
+ Plans and conducts independent electrical work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of electrical engineering techniques, procedures and criteria on a medium size project or assignment in support of a global business unit
+ Leads the design, development, modification and evaluation of components and processes used in the generation, manipulation, transmission, and storage of electricity utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs)
+ Communicates complex technical issues and recommends solutions to upper management
+ Develops conceptual designs for electrical engineering projects or projects having specialized or unique requirements
+ Supports preparation of estimates, staffing needs and schedules
+ Prepares or oversees the preparation of discipline estimates and work plan in accordance with project scope, schedule and budget, and supports implementation and assists with performance reporting
+ Interprets new or special regulations, codes, standards, criteria, and performance data
+ Coordinates with client representatives, as directed, to obtain their approval of electrical aspects of the work
+ Mentors electrical engineering personnel by providing on-the-job training for their professional development
+ Provides input to and participates in special technical educational and training programs as directed
# Education and Experience Requirements:
+ Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience
# Required Knowledge and Skills:
+ Thorough knowledge of engineering techniques, design of engineered systems, and engineering and design calculations

You will monitor that the contractor is compliant with project specifications and requirements.
# Major Responsibilities:
**Planning / Productivity**
+ Coordinate activities with other disciplines or areas and technical representatives, as instructed by construction management to ensure program delivery priorities are maintained.
+ Review all contractor submittials including construction schedules, costs, reports, and changes.

**Safety & Quality**

+ Review field engineering progress, quality records and quantity verification against approved schedules, evaluate changes and advise corrective action when required.
+ Communicate technical issues and recommend solutions as required.
# Education and Experience Requirements:
+ Requires bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience
+ High Voltage (HV) switching and confined space certification
# Required Knowledge and Skills:
+ 35+ years in electrical engineering
+ Hands-on involvement in:
+ Lighting systems
