About the role
We are seeking an experienced optical or Laser technician to join a specialist team, working on one of the organisation's key operational programs. Reporting to the Repair Facility Manager, our Technicians address the client's routine and ad-hoc maintenance requirements a suite of Night Fighting Equipment (NFE) products.
The primary remit of this role is to carry out assembly, calibration and preventative maintenance activities on precision optical test equipment. Your activities can include but not be limited to conducting technical inspections and level appropriate repairs to allocated units, supporting root cause failure analysis investigations, providing technical day-to-day support across the NFE product range, ensuring repair part stock levels are maintained and supporting quality control activities as directed by your lead.

**Job Description**
Your role as the Wind Farm Field Service Technician will see you interface regularly with the Service Managers, Customer, internal technical team, other GE Onshore wind farms, contractors and the local community. Joining the resident site team in performing scheduled and unscheduled servicing of wind turbines and site infrastructure, undertaking tasks including annual maintenance, retrofit works, major component exchange and fault finding.
Based at our Boco Rock Wind Farm Project, located 10km from the town of Nimmitabel and 60km from Jindabyne. The 67 turbines have a combined generation capacity of 113 MW, giving the wind farm the capability of supplying renewable power to 45,000 homes across the state!
Wind Turbine specific training will be provided to the successful applicants.
**Essential Responsibilities:**
+ Interpret the requirements of GE manuals, specifications, bulletins, and complete assigned tasks in accordance with GE work instructions.
+ Perform and ensure the proper maintenance and fault finding of assets.
+ Maintain reports using GE's various software management tools and databases.
+ Ensure all work is performed in accordance with the organization's JSA, LOTO, EHS and associated policies/procedures.
+ Report errors, violations, incidents, or problems immediately using GE reporting systems.
+ Submit enquiries to Engineering to ensure technical issues are resolved.
+ Answer questions from Management, Engineering, Sourcing and Project Teams as required.

+ Trained to an intermediate level in computer skills.
+ Must have positive attitude and the ability to complete physically demanding tasks at heights and be willing to climb wind turbines.

**Job Details:**
+ Location: Huntingwood Sydney (Static Site)
+ Schedule Continental Roaster : 5 on - 3 days/2 nights -5 Days Off/ 4 days on- 2 days/2 nights / 4 days off | 12-hour shifts (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
+ Start Date: Roles opening NOW for September 25 intakes onwards

**About the Role:**
As a CBRE Shift Data Center Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the operational integrity of our critical infrastructure. You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and corrective repairs within a data center operation, ensuring the seamless operation of critical systems. Oversight of electrical and mechanical systems, including but not limited to: Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, generators, chillers, Electrical Distribution, HVAC systems, Building Management Systems (BMS) systems, and CMMS Work Dispatching. This position is part of the Critical and Technical Services job function, focusing on delivering technical maintenance services in high-stakes client environments.
**What You'll Do:**
+ Conduct daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Electrical Engineering systems and technical equipment, including servicing and maintenance tasks.
+ Ensure that the site's environmental conditions are conducive to a safe and efficient work environment.
+ Respond promptly to Building Management System alarms and perform emergency repairs as necessary.
+ Collaborate with third-party vendors to ensure compliance with company-developed processes, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations.
+ Notify management if subcontractor performance does not meet the requirements outlined in the Master Service Agreement.
+ Execute planned preventative maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance on all equipment.
+ Monitor the Building Management System for running and alarm conditions, addressing HVAC-related client issues.
+ Perform building walkthroughs, taking meter readings from UPS, PDUs, and utilities.
+ Address facility and plant faults and defects with effective solutions.
+ Complete assigned work following established processes and procedures, adhering to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements. Conduct routine quality checks to maintain comprehensive maintenance records.
+ Complete all required training to ensure the successful completion of job-related responsibilities.
+ Utilize existing procedures to solve straightforward problems, with limited discretion.
+ Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.
+ Deliver results by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
**What You'll Need:**
+ Minimum Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician/NSW License Non restricted
+ Must be a Australian Citizen - NV1 vetting clearance
+ Training in a technical discipline, having completed an apprenticeship or equivalent, with 2-4 years of job-related experience. A combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of a diploma. Ability to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
+ Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the role.
+ Strong communication skills to effectively present information to internal departments, clients, management, and colleagues.
+ Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
+ Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
+ Basic math skills, with the ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
+ Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and precision in all aspects of work.

**About The Role:**
+ Reporting to the CBRE Resource Manager , the Shift Technician where the responsibilities include:
+ Responsible for ensuring that maintenance activities within the buildings are being carried out with due regard to Health and Safety, business risk and maintaining the 100% uptime criteria.
+ Responsible for maintaining excellent standards of response to Asset performance, completion of assigned work and ensure any abnormal operating conditions and housekeeping issues are dealt with proficiently.
+ Carry out routine planned preventative maintenance tasks as required within and across HV and LV distribution systems, associated plant / equipment and HVAC mechanical cooling / heating systems as determined by the CMMS system's work orders
+ Monitor BMS for running and alarm conditions when required
+ Building walk-rounds, taking meter readings from UPS, PDU's and other electrical equipment to monitor capacity
+ Investigate faults, identify root causes and effect remedies
+ Prepare accurate / timely service/incident reports as required
+ Ensure corrective / repair works are carried out in accordance with current regulations
+ Assist when/where required with equipment installation works and asset data capture
+ Participate in emergency call out roster providing cover for weekend and team member absences, as required
+ Develop a comprehensive understanding of the building(s) infrastructure and their layouts, functions and complexities
+ Deliver effective communication through advice, review, leadership and direct contribution to team meetings, briefings, correspondence, monthly and ad-hoc reporting, as appropriate
+ Be a point of contact during significant events or multi-discipline technical escalations occurring within the specified sites
+ As necessary, participate in any business continuity plans the team may be involved in
+ Ensure data centre operations and CBRE business policies and processes are complied with at your sites i.e. effectively communicated, implemented and adhered to within the contract
+ Ensure a customer focus within all areas of operational activities, and that effective relationships are maintained with key client contacts. Ensuring contractually agreed SLA's and KPI's within the Scope of Works (SOW) are met and necessary record retention demonstrating adherence
+ Manage contractors/suppliers to ensure maintenance, repairs, and operations are to a high standard and in line with maintenance agreements/SLAs
+ Promote and maintaining the core Values of CBRE and ensure the professional image of CBRE is presented onsite all times.
+ Manage other tasks as directed by the client.
+ Escalate relevant matters to superiors as soon as practically possible
**What You'll Need:**
+ Applicants must have a current and valid license or Electrical license none restricted/Grade A
+ Minimum Certificate III completed Electrical
+ Relevant and valid OH&S cards
+ Additional training and experience
+ Valid Driver's License
+ Experience of CMMS and BMS systems.

**What You'll need:**
Essential
+ Must understand all the associated safety code related requirements relative to providing the service. Experience with Health & Safety Risk Assessments and Control Measures
+ Experience of maintaining critical & temperature control conditioned environments
+ Detailed understanding and experience of the electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center environment, including Feeders, Transformers, Generators, Fuel Systems, Switchgear, UPS systems, Battery banks, ATS/STS units, PDU/PMM units, Air handling units, chilled water systems, Fire Alarm systems, and Fire Suppression systems (pre-action sprinklers).
+ Prior exposure to maintenance scheduling and subcontractor management and supervision
+ Strong understanding of ticketing or workflow management systems and tools
+ Experience of managing escalation and emergency issues
+ NSW Electrical License is required. Minimum Certificate III Electrotechnology Electrician
+ Good building services knowledge
+ Good Customer relationship skills
+ Working knowledge of "Permit to work" systems
+ Understand and interpret technical drawings / processes
+ Experience of CMMS and BMS systems
+ "Unless otherwise advised, CBRE data centre sites require Australian Citizenship and on request from our customers participating in a government clearance process and holding a government clearance up to NV1 is required"
