Join KBR as we expand and strengthen our Land Systems Division in Melbourne! We're seeking defence experienced Engineering professionals (must be AGSVA security cleared) with an interest in delivering complex and meaningful projects that support Australia's defence capability.

+ Land Vehicle Systems Branch

Responsibilities:
+ Undertake with the assistant engineers, the development of Technical Investigations and Technical Instructions relating to platform systems, including the verification and validation of technical data.
+ Work within a multidisciplinary team to develop design requirements in the context of engineering change management and configuration management relating to Mechanical and Electrical platform systems.
+ Participate in Engineering design Reviews and the development of Engineering Support Reports.
+ Work both within and to the requirements of the Authorised Engineering Organisation.
+ Work to the requirements of Contractor Engineering Management Plan.
+ Assist with preparation and/or review of work instructions and maintenance schedules.
+ Conducting work to a high standard, including work on engineering reports and design contract documents.
+ Working within Certification Standards and established industry practices.
+ Develop and maintain relationships with key customer and supplier contacts.
+ Provide assistance to team members including graduate levels as and when required.
+ Other duties as directed.
As the ideal candidate you will bring:
+ Degree qualified, Chartered Professional Engineer
+ Demonstrated ability to develop and execute Systems Engineering Management Plans.
+ Hands-on experience in configuration management practice.
+ Working knowledge of ASDEFCON Contracting framework (above and/or below the line).
+ Experience in risk management.
+ Experience in Verification and Validation (V&V) planning and test execution.
+ The ability to obtain and maintain an AGSVA Security Clearance.
All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active NV1 Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding a NV1 Clearance or above should apply.

+ This position requires you to be responsible for the development of the substation HV system, specifications, and interface with other disciplines on design issues across the substation configuration, equipment rating, and layout, earthing, insulation coordination, HV cables, and conduit designs.
+ You will be given the unique opportunity to work with one of our key clients who are about to embark on an ambitious major transmission works program of a scale not seen in the Australian electricity sector in many decades.

Reporting to the Repair Facility Manager, our Technicians address the client's routine and ad-hoc maintenance requirements a suite of Night Fighting Equipment (NFE) products.
The primary remit of this role is to carry out assembly, calibration and preventative maintenance activities on precision optical test equipment. Your activities can include but not be limited to conducting technical inspections and level appropriate repairs to allocated units, supporting root cause failure analysis investigations, providing technical day-to-day support across the NFE product range, ensuring repair part stock levels are maintained and supporting quality control activities as directed by your lead.

+ Requires broad knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through work experience and may require vocational or technical education.
+ Must hold and be able to maintain an Australian "A" Grade Electrical License, OR hold and be able to maintain a minimum US State Journeyman Electrical License
+ Must Possess a Valid Driver's license
+ Must Possess an active US Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph or AUS PV Security Clearance.
+ Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience with design reviews and O&M facility-related programs of similar size, scope, and complexity.

**Key Responsibilities:**
+ **Leadership & Supervision:** Guide and manage site activities, leading site technicians and third-party contractors in daily operations. Coordinate maintenance schedules and delegate tasks effectively.
+ **Technical Expertise:** Hold the Site Electrical Contractors License Nominee role, ensuring compliance with regulations, standards, and codes. Execute high voltage switching operations and carry out maintenance, installations, and repairs.
+ **Continuous Improvement:** Drive continuous improvement initiatives, share lessons learned, and lead training sessions for technicians and contractors.

+ Strong understanding of AC/DC electrical circuits and proficiency in troubleshooting and circuit analysis.
+ Proven track record in promoting a safety culture and experience in high voltage switching operations.
+ Customer service skills and team leadership experience in the wind industry or large-scale industrial environments.
+ Intermediate computer skills and ability to handle physically demanding tasks at heights.
+ Willingness to be on the weekend on-call roster and travel as required.
