**Role Overview:**
**Technical Leadership:**
+ Lead the execution of design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
+ Provide engineering expertise and guidance for the repair and testing of avionics systems _._
+ Provide technical leadership to other personnel and assigned teams and mentor others in the organization
+ Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex technical issues in the workshop and develop repair profiles for technicians.
+ Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
+ Ensure direct access to OEM support and documentation
**Test Equipment Management:**
+ Evaluate and maintain test equipment used for avionics and DOWTY repairs.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure test equipment meets operational needs.
+ Optimize test equipment performance to improve repair efficiency and accuracy.
**Process Improvement:**
+ Identify opportunities for process improvements in repair and testing workflows. Includes- GPM rework processes
+ Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
+ Drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) priorities.
**Team Collaboration:**
+ Work closely with repair technicians, quality teams, and other engineering groups.
+ Lead engineering concession management
+ Provide training and mentorship to workshop staff on technical processes and equipment usage.
+ Act as a liaison between the workshop and other departments, such as design engineering and supply chain.
**Safety and Quality Assurance:**
+ Ensure all repair and testing activities adhere to strict safety protocols.
+ Maintain high-quality standards in all aspects of repair and testing operations.
+ Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
**Project Management:**
+ Lead projects related to the introduction of new test equipment or repair capabilities.
+ Support timelines, budgets, and resources for engineering initiatives within the workshop.
**Security Focal**
+ Oversee physical security operations across all company locations and work with site leads for implementation.
+ Conduct routine audits, training, tasks and oversee reporting tools to ensure standard requirements are met.

**Required Qualifications** **:**

**Electrical Engineer for Power**
**This position is contingent upon contract award**
Amentum is seeking an **Electrical Power Engineer** to support a requirement for a US Government contract in the town of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory of Australia. This position supports efforts to be performed by Amentum including facilities Construction, Operation & Maintenance (O&M) and Support Services in an austere and remote location. Performance requires several unique functions given the isolated location of the Site which resides on a 4,400-acre facility which is self-sufficient and generates its own power and water. The contract supports Project Task Order (PTO) related efforts varying in complexity from minor/major system upgrades, renovations, to existing facilities, and new construction. The priority is to implement and maintain a successful O&M program to provide life, health and safety for site personnel, while ensuring continuous operations of the site infrastructure.
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ US Citizen with active U.S government clearance - TS/SCI with polygraph.
+ A degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university, and hold Professional Engineer (PE) licensure as an Electrical Engineer
+ Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in medium and low voltage industrial power distribution.
+ Experience in design of medium and low voltage distribution.
+ Experience with high voltage distribution and frequency conversion equipment
+ Experience working in secured/restricted areas, data centers (power and cooling), performing configuration management activities, and knowledge of the Uptime Institute Tier configuration topologies

The Opportunity
This is an opportunity for an Electrical Engineer with water industry or industrial plant experience to join our high performing water team. The role would be focusing on LV electrical systems including schematics, equipment layout, lighting, motor control centers and communications systems, SCADA, instrumentation and PLCs.
You'll be a member of our Melbourne water team, who are delivering major capital projects and facility upgrades to water treatment plants and wastewater treatment plants across Victoria with Melbourne Water and Victoria's South East Water, $1.5 billion, 10-year contract awarded to KBR
You will work with diverse teams contributing to projects across the full asset lifecycle. From strategic planning for our future cities to working with our construction partners to gain the invaluable delivery experience seeing your designs come to life. Who are you?
As a Electrical Engineer in the Water team, you will have previous experience in similar complex plant/industrial environments and have completed design and technical writing. You are driven to deliver outcomes for clients as well as contribute to team success.
You will have the following skills and experience:
+ Hold an accredited Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (or related)
+ Design experience with knowledge of industry standards. strong skills in instrumentation, controls, SCADA and LV design
