**About the role**
Our Perth team are looking for a Renewable Energy Engineer/Consultant with expertise and interest in the Renewable Energy/Sustainability sector, to join us on a permanent basis.
The role will be within our Energy Team, reporting to our Energy Team Leader. The team is part of a national offering and is targeting landmark Energy Transition projects nationwide. This role is suited to someone who wants to be part of the Energy Transition in delivering commercial and utility scale renewables projects. It is ideally suited to a candidate who has at least 4 years' experience working on a range of renewables, buildings energy, and energy market related projects.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Lead the electrical design of renewable energy projects, including solar PV, wind, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
+ Develop detailed designs for high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) systems, including protection schemes, switchgear, and transformer specifications.
+ Prepare and review single line diagrams, schematics, and layout drawings.
+ Carry out system modelling, load flow studies, fault level analysis, and protection coordination.
+ Perform detailed modelling and assessment of solar PV, battery storage, and microgrid systems.
+ Have a strong understanding of financial and economic analysis (NPV, IRR, LCOE) to support investment decisions.
+ Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary project teams from concept to commissioning.
+ Liaise with DNSPs, regulators, and internal stakeholders for grid compliance and approvals.
+ Manage project timelines, budgets, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
+ Prepare and present detailed technical and commercial reports to clients and stakeholders.
+ Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior engineers within the team.
+ Engage with clients, stakeholders, and DNSPs to present and explain design solutions.
**Competencies and familiarities:**
+ Competent with relevant Australian Standards such as AS/NZS 3000, 4777 and 5033.
+ Competent with the supply authority application process for inverter-based energy systems, and the various Australian DNSPs' Technical Rules.
+ Familiar with project siting constraints, such as environmental, social, and governance considerations for developments.
+ Familiar with grid connection constraints, such as system strength, inertia, and power systems engineering studies to demonstrate steady-state / dynamic / transient stability for advanced inverter systems.
+ High-voltage distribution and substation design experience are desirable.
**To be successful for this role you'll need:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical, Renewable Energy, Science or similar
+ Proven experience in energy project feasibility and delivery (solar/BESS/microgrids).
+ Proficiency with relevant software (e.g., PVSyst, HOMER, ETAP, Excel, MS Project).
+ Strong commercial acumen with ability to evaluate and justify project viability.
+ Have commercial solar/battery/energy storage/renewables (DER) experience
+ Interact and engage with our clients as a professional consultant, providing an appropriate level of service.
+ Use written professional communication to deliver our project requirements such as email, reports, technical drawings, memos and specifications.
+ Apply technical skills and commitment in a way which ensures projects are thoroughly considered, personally reviewed, and delivered on time.
+ Be accurate, diligent and professional.
+ Ability to lead or work collaboratively in dynamic project environments.
+ Demonstrate emotional intelligence, respect, open-mindedness, positivity, and adaptability.
+ Participate in and present at meetings with clients and other consultants.
+ Assist and contribute to the optimisation of processes and templates within our Energy Team.
+ Demonstrate a strong awareness of both commercial and technical aspects of potential projects.

+ Ability to apply technical expertise in a way which balances commercial profitability, QA adherence, risk management and the morale of others.

We are looking for a Power Systems Engineer to establish Eaton ANZ as an enabler and advisor for Data Centre customers meeting NSP and AEMO grid connection requirements. This is a highly visible role and perfect for a subject matter expert who will enhance current engineering capability and capacity in understanding grid requirements for large Data Centre grid connections.
The successful candidate will work closely with global R&D Teams & local customers and leverage their expertise to strengthen relationships with key accounts, and the Data Centre Segment strategy.
**Key Duties:**
+ Accountable for keeping abreast with the ANZ national grid related technical requirements, challenges, and National Electricity rules related to new customer power connections.
+ Provide regular updates to management on upcoming technology/ rule changes, any gaps that need to be addressed and risk vs opportunity analysis.
+ Collaborate with Eaton Global R&D team on requirements such as PSCAD, PSSE Powerfactory modelling.
+ Assess and advise on new technology impacts in the areas of Data Centres, HVDC, BESS, EV infrastructure integration.
+ Participate in pre-sales processes to understand customer business, technical objectives, and project requirements.
+ Understand customer pain points and actively engage to provide solutions.
+ Collaborate with product management, commercial sales teams, and partners to engage customers and apply solutions and write content for technical and commercial proposals.
**Qualifications:**
+ 5+ years of experience within utility or Energy sector as project engineer/ project manager preferably with AEMO, NSP.
+ Knowledge of power system modelling software such as PSCAD, PSSE, BESS would be highly advantageous.
+ Strong leadership, relationship management, communication, and interpersonal skills are crucial.
+ Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

KBR is looking for a Senior or Principal level Power Systems Technical Lead to support our current and upcoming Level Crossing Removal Projects under the North West Program Alliance (NWPA). This also includes the exciting scope of works being delivered through the Metropolitan Alliance for the Sunshine Station Precinct (SSP) project which will help optimise the future transport network in Melbourne.

+ Key Responsibilities:
+ Work with the Principle Project Manager or Project Manager through close coordination for Transmission and Power System software development and implementations projects, scope management, schedule, risk management, and quality management.
+ Accountable for successful delivery of technical scope items to meet the schedule, cost and quality commitments.
+ Project Execution control: Build effective Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) .
+ Manage project teams to drive project deliverables
+ Communicate effectively with Principle Project Manager, Architects, Customer, Project teams (APAC and global) and commercial team
+ Utilize GEV Product knowledge and expertise to drive excellence in execution through continuous improvement, change management (costs base reduction, lead time reduction, productivity improvement, quality improvement, etc)
+ Agile mindset and ability to work with one or more Scrum Teams (Region and Global team) to execute and deliver solutions for our customers
+ Good understanding of DevOps concepts, such as automated builds, automated deployments and automated tests, to lead customers and apply those concepts to your daily deliverables
+ Validate project scope review in coordination with the Solution Design team identifying, documenting, and estimating any change requests (CR) or project risks with mitigation plans.
+ Assist in the tendering process for project proposals or CRs working with the Customer Engagement team/resource managers to validate scope and estimates as well as reviewing each proposal with the customer.
+ Ability to take ownership of issues and get them resolved using self-driven initiative
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's or Master degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related Engineering Discipline from an accredited university or college
+ Proven experience in a senior technical consultancy role within the industry
+ Minimum of 15 years related work experience leading engineering teams, implementing a suite of products and engaging directly with customers
+ Minimum 10 years' experience with Digital software SCADA, Energy Management System (EMS) and Distribution Management System (DMS
