As Engineering Lead, you will lead the Engineering Services team. In this multifaceted role, you will maintain program documentation provide technical governance, monitor compliance with contracted KPIs, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Lead the Engineering Services team comprising a system safety engineer, senior logistics engineer, cybersecurity engineer and a team of configuration management specialists, assigning tasks appropriately while monitoring performance and supporting professional development.
+ Support the Engineering Manager in providing engineering governance and oversight to ensure activities comply with the Engineering Management System.
+ Monitor and report on engineering and configuration management metrics to address potential KPI and OPM performance issues before they impact contractual targets.

**Qualifications, Experience and Skills**
**Essential**
+ University degree in Engineering with a significant component of Electrical Engineering
+ Minimum of 6 years prior relevant experience with specialised knowledge of technical or operational practices within engineering.
+ Tertiary qualification and professional development sufficient to attain recognition as a Chartered Professional Engineer with Engineers Australia.
+ Demonstrated experience in decision making, planning and establishing goals with direct impact on operational results.
+ Excellence in time management task prioritisation, and ability to maintain stability of performance under pressure.
**Desirable:**
+ Practical project management knowledge and experience
+ Experience using Defence engineering and configuration management processes
+ Knowledge of DASR, AAP 8000.011 ANSP.70(A) and ANSP.80(A) regulations.

**About the role**
Our Transport team has delivered infrastructure design across State Government, municipal, and private sector which provides integrated transportation solutions that link communities and enhance urban and regional environments. Joining a growing team with an exciting future, you'll play a role in maintaining our existing client base, exploring new opportunities and ensuring technical excellence from our Design team.
Reporting to the Transport Group Lead - Queensland, you will be leading our civil drafting team at office in South Brisbane and will have the opportunity to work on significant major infrastructure projects.
**Day to day tasks would involve:**
+ Undertake design and documentation with an advanced working knowledge of AutoCAD
+ Supervise, coordinate, and review the work of draftspersons to maintain technically high standard and techniques (DoT, council standards)
+ Complete, review and validate design drawings and documentation with a high focus on quality
+ Overseeing and facilitating knowledge sharing including mentoring junior team members
+ Develop and implement training curriculums to support CAD technologies and provide learning support through coaching and sharing of knowledge.
**To be successful for this role you'll need:**
+ Tertiary qualifications in Drafting or Engineering and/or relevant equivalent work experience including documentation for transport and civil infrastructure projects
+ Experience in leading a team of civil drafters, managing project resourcing and quality of outputs and client deliverables.
+ Extensive experience delivering a range of Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) projects, all in accordance with their specifications.
+ Good understanding of Common Data Environments such as ACC and ProjectWise.
+ Basic understanding of the ISO19650 - Essential not required
+ Understanding of AutoCAD Macros and Scripts to automate repetitive tasks.
+ Extensive experience in the operation of software design tools such as AutoCAD packages
+ Basic knowledge in Civil 3D or 12D would be useful.
+ Strong knowledge of local drafting standards including but not limited to; TMR, CoGC, CMB, BCC etc.
+ Strong interpersonal and influencing skills and the ability to solve problems utilising existing procedures.
+ Strong client focus, high level of motivation and dedication and the ability to work well in a team environment.
