Are you a skilled and experienced construction professional ready to take on a pivotal role in delivering high-profile projects?
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Construction Project Engineer to join our KBR Adelaide team to oversee and coordinate critical interfaces between our client, the managing contractor, and our technical site support team.
Key Responsibilities:
+ You will serve as the primary point of contact between the construction team and the project team.
+ Manage and ensure timely responses to Requests for Information (RFIs), shop drawing reviews, and site inspections.
+ Oversee the technical site support team, including civil, structural, building services, security, and architectural disciplines.
+ Support the delivery of Production Demonstration Facilities (PDF) and building infrastructure projects.
+ Lead on-site construction administration processes to ensure seamless project execution.
+ Play a significant role in the first tranche of construction and contribute to the ongoing delivery of future project phases.
Skills & Experience Required:
+ A background in structural engineering, building services engineering, or architecture.
+ Demonstrated expertise in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of on-site construction administration processes, typically acquired through substantial project experience and technical proficiency.
+ Proven experience managing complex projects and interdisciplinary teams.
+ Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
+ A proactive and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
+ Current Baseline Clearance or the ability to obtain Defence clearance required.
+ Candidates must hold Australian Citizenship.

This project will provide the Customer's Headquarters facilities and outlying buildings with services necessary to ensure optimal performance and utilization of the facility infrastructure, including, but not limited to, Operation & Maintenance (O&M), recapitalization, renovations, design, construction, records management, repairs to correct identified deficiencies or adverse impacts to operational capabilities, and improvements leveraging innovative and technological solutions.
Who You Are
KBR is in search of a skilled Project Construction Manager to lead construction projects and Task Orders (TO) to recapitalize, complete major repairs, new construction, and augment the existing infrastructure in addition to the required Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of our government customer's sites. You will manage a team of specialists, focusing on operational effectiveness, maintenance, safety, and environmental compliance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, analytical acumen, an eye for detail, and a proven ability to make decisions and adhere to strict deadlines.
This is a 24x7 operation which requires provision of on-call support. Your role transcends conventional limits, placing a premium on the solid availability of essential services. It's imperative that these projects and TOs comply with all US Government and Host Nation applicable codes, standards and regulations. Your vigilant oversight and proactive strategies are the cornerstones of our commitment to delivering stellar customer service.
This role will be located in Alice Springs, Australia at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space. The Project Construction Manager will be expected to travel between our facilities in Alice Springs and local area. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.
What You'll Do
In the role of Project Construction Manager, your duties will include:
+ Direct the facilities' construction and maintenance at each site including but not limited to: job site document control and distribution of drawings, specifications, and all other technical documents
+ Directs project construction planning, safety, cost control, and scheduling activities
+ Interpret drawings and implement specifications for job site queries
+ Resolves job site technical issues encountered during execution of construction projects
+ Formulating and enforcing operational and construction standards that support company objectives, contractual requirements and comply with regulatory and environmental standards
+ Hiring, training, and leading a competent workforce to be versatile and technically savvy
+ Keeping a close watch on contractual obligations and staying informed of any regulatory changes that impact facility operations
+ Orchestrating activities to align with the overarching contract requirements and to ensure smooth site operations
+ Provide technical support to site operations, guaranteeing the continuity of critical infrastructure operations, with a commitment to reliability for around-the-clock mission support
+ Communicating effectively with diverse teams, responding to questions, and solving a range of operational issues
Requirements
+ Possess an active TS/SCI with adjudicated CI polygraph or Host Nation TS/PV clearance .
+ A degree in Project Management, Civil, Construction, or Architecture from an accredited university, or equivalent work experience
+ A minimum of seven (7) years of experience with construction/facility projects of similar scope, size and complexity
+ A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Senior/Chief Project Manager responsible for supervising project managers, engineers and sub-contractors
+ Professional certification/registration

What You'll Do
As a Project Manager, Construction, you will:
+ Developing detailed project plans, ensuring resources are available and timelines are feasible.
+ Budgeting and cost management to keep the project within the financial constraints.
+ Contract administration including negotiation and oversight of contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
+ Quality control checks to deliver projects that meet all the agreed specifications.
+ Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary project team and resolve conflicts.
+ Ensuring all legal, safety, and environmental regulations are strictly observed.
+ Reporting regularly on the project status to executives and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
+ Must be a US or Australian citizen
+ Must possess a US TS/SCI with Counterintelligence Polygraph or AUS PV Clearance.
+ Must have a minimum of five years of experience as a project manager.
+ Project management skills such as time management, project budgeting, resource management and project scheduling.
+ Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Project management, Construction Management or related area
This role will be located in Alice Springs, at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.

Reporting to the Associate Director Engineering, your new role as a **Technical Project Manager** is a leading responsibility in the project management and systems engineering delivery attached to a major Australian Defense Force (ADF) program. Collaborating with colleagues and key ADF and supplier personnel, you will work to meet project milestones and objectives in a transdisciplinary environment to deliver a fully integrated system.
Oversight requirement and activities in your new role include task analysis, specification, design, as well as system verification and validation to ensure functional interface performance, physical and qualitative characteristics and costs are balanced to secure stakeholder requirements.
**Key responsibilities of your new role include.**
+ Project requirements include undertaking the full remit of technical aspects of project management, leading and developing project team skills; coordinating engineering tasking, including planning and co-ordination, task estimation, allocation and management, resource planning, schedule development, project risk and financial management, responsibility for Earned Value metrics, change, issue resolution and reporting.
+ Review and approve technical documentation in accordance with authority levels.
+ Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer requirements into total systems solution; accounting for technical, schedule and cost priorities, as well as developing and delivering project and support deliverables including technical documentation.
+ Governance and compliance with policies, procedures to meet contract commitments, using a systems engineering approach and Trusted Agile methodologies to plan and execute engineering and project requirements.
+ Professional personal presentation in communication as well as collaborating proactively with key stakeholders including Systems, Hardware and Software design functions in-country and across international teams.
+ **Lead and champion the development of new design approaches, methods and technologies as well as process and quality updates with a focus on and commitment to continuous improvement and continuous learning.**
**Skills, attributes and experience:**
**Essential**
+ Qualifications (B.Eng, B.Sc) and experience in Project Management and Systems Engineering, in the design and development of systems and products across the development of engineering hardware and software components as well as proven background and experience in Systems Integration.
+ Core competence and proven skills in cross-team collaboration, strong communication skills with multi-disciplinary groups internal and external stakeholders - maintain professional standards at all times, including the skills and experience to lead company representation in various forums.
**Desirable**
+ **Proven success in developing and delivering complex, high technology products involving software and hardware through to delivery of integrated systems.**
+ Proficiency in Systems Engineering, including open systems architecture and secured cloud-based technologies.
+ Experience as a Senior Systems Engineer involved through the entirety of systems development, including requirements capture, design, decomposition, integration, plus verification and validation through to the transition to production; ideally in Defence industry environments.
+ Familiarity with engineering development in an Agile and DEVSECOPS environment.
