The Opportunity:
L3Harris Communications Australia (L3HCA) Public Safety and Professional Communications Division (PSPC) Field Technician is responsible for providing quality technical outcomes across a growing PSPC customer base in Australasia.
The Field Technician will support programs during the Sustainment phase and will work to provide high levels of customer satisfaction, whilst maintaining contract compliance.
Based in Brisbane, you will provide technical support, local/remote repair/testing, training and Customer Service solutions to both L3Harris customers and other technical staff under Maintenance and Support programs. This role will require travel on a regular basis to ACT and will include other customers in all states of Australia on an as needed basis.
Working as part of the larger RSC (Regional Support Centre) team, this role will also provide support to the boarder CS (Communications Systems) segment, as directed by the Senior Maintenance Manager. Including the following sectors initially: TCOM (Tactical Communications) & SATCOM (Satellite Communications).
This role would suit a highly skilled and experience senior support technician that can, work autonomously, make recommendations for process improvements and desire to support Public Safety and other mission critical government agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Testing and remediation at localised levels for L3Harris supplied products;
+ Monitoring, tracking and controlling all assets between the customer and L3Harris Communications (Brisbane)
+ Conduct Preventative Maintenance Inspections of supplied radios.
+ Liaising on product improvements/issues.
+ Troubleshooting/fault finding returned materiel to ascertain next remediation step(s)
+ Ability to develop strong trusting relationships to gain support and achieve results.
+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
+ Strong computer skills in MS office suite
+ Regular domestic travel
Skills Required:
+ Minimum Certificate III in Electronics and Communications with extensive prior related experience, Or High School Diploma and a minimum of 8-10 years of prior relevant experience
+ RF and or P25 experience in either Public Safety or Defence Force is highly advantageous.
+ Good written and oral communication skills

Located in Pinkenba, the L3Harris Regional Support Centre (RSC) is a multi-faceted maintenance support entity that provides the L3Harris Defence Australia programs, International Programs and commercial programs with through life maintenance support. Basic Qualifications
- Degree or technical certification (Military or Trade school)
- Mechanical/HVAC/Electrical engineering or experience at technician level in a critical environment

Basic Qualifications
- Degree or technical certification (Military or Trade school)
- Mechanical/HVAC/Electrical engineering or experience at technician level in a critical environment
- 2+ years of maintenance experience on mechanical or electrical equipment
- Experience operating electrical or mechanical systems in a mission critical environment (i.e. Data Centre, telecom, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to participate in a 24 x 7 rotating shift roster
- 2+ years of operations experience in a data centre or critical environment
- Experience with the development of MOPs & SWMS for planned works
- Familiar with the concepts and interaction of Service Management systems (Problem & Change)
- Business-level verbal and written communication skills

We are looking for a Data Centre Engineering Operations Technician (EOT). Our EOT's are Amazon's front line responders for hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operation. This equipment includes, but is not limited to, stand-by diesel generators, switchboards/switchgears, UPSs, PDUs, AHUs, pumps, motors, VFDs, and building automation systems. They provide 24/7 shift coverage which could include 12 hour shifts, rotating shifts, 3, 4, or 5 day work weeks.
Key job responsibilities
- Review the management of both routine and corrective maintenance on a variety of critical systems such as: switch gear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, etc.
- Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses & prepare reports on all aspects of the critical facility infrastructure operations & maintenance.
- Help with the design, implementation, commissioning and build out of new facilities.
- Create and implement projects to increase current facility capacity, efficiency, sustainability & reliability.
- Manage the facility assets and the provision of infrastructure & inventory asset management.
- Manage the on-site management of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring that all work performed, is observing established practices, procedures & local legislation.
- Work with other business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimise plant safety, performance, reliability, sustainability and efficiency.·

We are experiencing rapid growth, therefore your onboarding will be dynamic in nature, where you will gain diverse experience working in new and established AWS data centre's. These future Amazonians will rotate through various AWS locations to complete training as part of their onboarding to prepare for deployment in a data centre region. This training will be completed over a duration of 6-12 months. Once training is completed, individuals will be relocated to the permanent location.

- Collaborate with data center IT managers and other business leaders to coordinate day to day operations, projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, sustainability, and efficiency
- Drive & implement projects to increase current facility capacity, efficiency, sustainability & reliability as well as assist in the design implementation, commissioning and build out of new data center facilities.

- Attending operational meetings to foster awareness of important activities across the Melbourne data centre region
