**Day to day tasks would involve** **:**
* Supervise and assist in geotechnical investigations including drilling and test pitting programs, CPTs and geophysical surveys, in Perth and throughout WA
* Conduct site inspections including insitu testing such as plate load testing, field permeameters, etc
* Investigation planning, premobilisation requirements, subcontractor engagement and management and preparation of laboratory testing plans
* Assist with geotechnical analysis, modelling, and design for slope stability, pavements, landfills, dams, foundations, retaining walls and other structures
* Apply engineering judgement to interpret data and develop practical, commercially viable solutions
* Conduct soil and rock logging in accordance with AS 1726:2017
* Prepare quotes and deliver high-quality technical outputs that meet client expectations and deadlines while demonstrating commercial awareness
* Collaborate with an Australia-wide multidisciplinary team of engineers, geologists, hydrogeologists, geotechnicians and environmental scientists/engineers
* Support a diverse range of projects from inception to completion
**To be successful for this role you'll need** **:**
* Tertiary qualifications in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering or Geology
* At least two years' experience including drilling and rock core logging
* Driver's licence and the ability to travel to remote sites for project work
* Strong technical report writing skills
* Excellent communication skills and client relationship building skills

* This role involves both office and field work. Applicants must be physically capable of working in remote field environments for extended periods.

+ Working closely with the Contractor Standing Capability (CSC) Project Manager (PM) you will lead the direction of CSC engineering efforts for the CSC activities.
+ Manage the team to produce engineering changes that achieve regulatory compliance, safety and technical performance whilst meeting project schedules through delivery of key milestones within budget and timeframes.
+ Diligently enforce the application of suitable engineering process to all engineering changes and their resulting technical artefacts to achieve the required operational performance, technical integrity and quality in accordance with Raytheon processes and policies.
+ Ensure accurate and timely reporting to internal stakeholders.
+ Oversee risk assessments for each CSC activity ensuring adequate mitigation of engineering and project risks, issues, and opportunities is performed in accordance with the company's policies.
+ Assist the CSC PM in the management of subcontractor's performance to ensure they provide the level and quality of services as contracted.
+ Lead the technical reviews, activity planning, estimating and scheduling for all engineering activities.
**Skills, Experience and Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering with at least ten years of post-graduate experience, including a minimum of 2 years of Engineering Management experience.
+ Ability to lead a multi-faceted engineering team to manage engineering change on a diverse range of systems.
+ Willingness to become and maintain a Chartered Professional Engineering status via Engineers Australia.
+ Familiarity with a broad range of Australian Standard (AS) and especially electrical standards.
+ Candidate must be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Eligibility can be found at with ability to satisfy ITAR material access compliance.
