This role will be working in Raytheon's Combat System Support Agent team maintaining the RAN's capability on the Hobart Class DDG Destroyers.

With a physical presence at the DDGs home port you will have opportunity to interact directly with members of the DDG System Project Office and Ship Staff, the end users of your work.

Defining and undertaking Systems Engineering tasks across the systems engineering lifecycle, including:

+ Liaison with Subject Matter Experts both within the CSSA and with Raytheon's functional leads

**Skills, Experience and Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or equivalent)
+ Demonstrable experience in one or more of the Systems Engineering lifecycle elements such as Requirements Development, Design Definition, Design Development, Integration and Verification
+ Excellent written and oral communications skills essential.
+ Use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques.
+ Previous exposure to Defence Systems Engineering processes and tools desirable (e.g. DOORS) is highly desirable.
+ Ability to take or develop into a leading role in the team is highly desirable
+ Experience in a Defence related industry is highly desirable

We're hiring:
HV Substation Engineers
HV Secondary Design Engineers
Earthing & Bonding Engineers
Power Systems Technical Lead
Key Responsibilities:
+ Design, analyse, and optimise Traction Power Systems
+ Develop solutions for 1500V DC
+ Develop solutions for Earthing & Bonding Systems
+ Create robust, sustainable substation designs.
+ Lead HV substation design
+ Lead HV substation secondary design, including protection
+ Help grow the power team
Requirements:
+ Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
+ Experience with 1500VDC
+ Proficiency in sustainable design methodologies
+ Experience of software tools such as ETAP, CDEGS, PLS-CADD, PowerCAD, SKM Powertools, CYMCAP
+ Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
+ Australian work rights and residency required.
+ MTM Competency Required or ability to obtain within 6 months
+ RPEV Accreditation Required or ability to obtain within 6 months
