About The Role

Our team is growing, and we are seeking 2 x Senior Base Engineers (Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers) to join us at our Hobart / Cambridge Airport Facility supporting the StarFlight Australia Aeromedical, SAR and Air Law Enforcement operations for the people and State of Tasmania.

Working a 7/7 roster, you will be responsible leading the maintenance team for both planned and unplanned maintenance activities working initially on B412 before transitioning to a new fleet of H145-D3 Helicopters. The Senior Base Engineer will be responsible for:

Resource and Team Management: Manage Rosters, manpower and resources to ensure effective operational outcomes are delivered under a performance-based contractLeadership Excellence: Provide mentoring, leadership, performance management as the front-line operational leader for the AMO teamCompliance: Ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures are adhered to by the AMO teamFacilities: Ensure facilities are compliant to AMO MOE and Regulatory standardsSafety and Quality: Promote and support reporting culture for all Safety, Quality related matters including facilitating and supporting Risk Assessments, ORR investigationsAircraft Inspections: scheduled and unscheduled inspections of aircraft systems, structures, and components to ensure airworthiness and compliance with regulations.Aircraft Maintenance and Repair: Executing maintenance tasks, repairs, and replacements of aircraft parts and systems.Aircraft Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspection reports, repair logs, and compliance documentation, to ensure regulatory compliance and traceability.Aircraft Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and avionics issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.Collaboration: Working closely with other departments to ensure the maintenance personnel, pilots, and regulatory authorities to coordinate maintenance activities and address safety concerns.
