Raytheon is seeking mechanical engineers to support the Modernisation of Maritime Electronic Warfare - including a Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and integration effort and senior Mechanical Engineers to take responsibility for key parts of the development program. You will join the experienced delivery team working in the development, deployment and support of a Modernisation of Maritime Electronic Warfare (MMEW) system to the ADF consisting of complex hardware and software solutions.
**Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications:**
+ Experience designing electronics enclosures, and integrating components into enclosures, for defence is essential.
+ Experience with 3D CAD software packages such as Creo is essential.
+ Experience in producing manufacture drawings in accordance with recognised standards is essential.
+ Ability to work in a multidisciplined team environment with systems, electrical and specialty engineers is essential.
+ Ability to design systems to specified requirements and develop documentation to demonstrate compliance.
+ Exposure to shock and vibration analysis and testing and knowledge of equipment environmental standards.
+ Experience designing for maintenance access, cooling analysis, and cable routing design is desirable.
+ Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (or equivalent)
+ Excellent written and oral communications skills essential.
+ Experience in a Defence related industry is desirable.

About The Role

Our team is growing, and we are seeking 2 x Senior Base Engineers (Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers) to join us at our Hobart / Cambridge Airport Facility supporting the StarFlight Australia Aeromedical, SAR and Air Law Enforcement operations for the people and State of Tasmania.

Working a 7/7 roster, you will be responsible leading the maintenance team for both planned and unplanned maintenance activities working initially on B412 before transitioning to a new fleet of H145-D3 Helicopters. The Senior Base Engineer will be responsible for:
