An opportunity exists for a driven and customer focused applicant to head our Equipment teams in Victoria. Whilst this role is based at our Braeside site, you will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the Braeside and Bendigo Service Centres in Victoria. You will be responsible for providing leadership, and guidance to the teams for them to provide exceptional technical support and customer service to our valued clients. Reporting to the National Service Manager, you will collaborate with other key stakeholders across the organisation to ensure the highest level of service quality and safety is maintained at all times.
What will you do?
·Lead and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the service centers which include repairs, maintenance, new equipment builds and management of staff in accordance with established systems and procedures
·Monitor all work in progress to ensure all work performed by the service center is of a satisfactory standard.
·Provide ongoing leadership and training for service technicians.
+ Schedule and perform repairs and maintenance of major systems as and when required, such as diesel and gasoline fueled engines, hydrostatic transmissions or hydraulic systems.
+ Schedule and perform testing of equipment using appropriate diagnostic tools required, in accordance with product service manual's diagnostic and test procedures as and when required.
+ Prepare detailed service and failure records
+ Order parts and invoice for all work performance in accordance with company systems and procedures
+ Establish and maintain good working relationships with Equipment Product Dealers in accordance with the Service Dealer Protocol
What do you need?
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to establish effective business relationships both internally and externally
+ Polite and professional phone manner
+ Experience in leading teams
+ Strong understanding of turf machinery maintenance is required or and understanding of turf machinery systems in relevant fields.
+ Experience in the maintenance and repair of various types of turf equipment, recycling equipment or construction equipment such as tractors, law mowers, garden tractors, line trimmers or golf course equipment
+ Ability to interpret engineering drawings, including parts breakdown drawings and simple electrical schematics
+ A valid Australian Motor Vehicle Licence

The Field Service Technician role is responsible for attending to customer premises to carry out servicing, inspections, breakdown support and repairs to access equipment including elevating work platforms, lighting towers and telehandlers.
The Field Service Technician is responsible for providing a superior level of customer service and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the customer needs are met within their given region.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
+ Carry out inspections, servicing and repairs of equipment with a focus on elevating work platforms, telehandlers and lighting towers. May work with other types of equipment on occasion such as hydraulic hoses, small diesel engines, etc
+ When attending to customer's sites make every effort to repair machines on site limiting the need to transport the machines off site
+ Be available to travel including overnight accommodation when requested
+ Responsible for completing all appropriate paperwork and inspection forms required by JLG policy, ANZ Standards and customer and/or site requirements in a timely manner
+ Responsible for notifying the Field Service Coordinator if repairs or services can't be completed during visit and the reason why, where required providing information for the ability to provide the customer a quote
+ Providing a superior level of customer service
+ Liaising with technical support including the interpretation of manuals where required
+ Conduct van audits and stock takes
+ General administrative duties relevant to the role including entering accurate job notes
+ Generating sales and service leads where possible and collaborating with the team
+ Maintain personal retail labour utilization rates as per target
+ Be able to contact or visit customer sites to generate additional service work as required and in consultation with the Field Service Coordinator.
+ As a Field Service Technician, you are also required to carry out general duties from time to time as requested by management
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Previous experience in a similar role - experience with mechanical, hydraulic and electrical advantageous
+ Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal
+ Ability to establish rapport with internal and external customers
+ Drivers licence
+ Proficient Language, Literacy and Numeracy including the ability to write job notes, read safety information, machine manuals and street signs and understand basic numeracy such as time, parts numbers and quantities
+ Ability to travel 25%
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Trade qualification in elevating work platform technology, heavy vehicle, diesel, automotive, auto electrical or related field
+ Strong organizational skills with exceptional follow through and attention to detail.
+ Strong time-management and prioritization skills, able to multi-task and prioritize competing requirements and meet deadlines.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where requirements are constantly changing.
+ Experience and proficiency with various web-based software applications that allow for transferrable skills to adequately use our Baseplan system and email
