About the Role

This is a contract opportunity until April 2026, with possible extension and will be based in Dubbo with some travel required.

Uniting are open to this being a full time 35 hours per week (5 days/week) or part-time 28 hours per week (4 days/week)

We’re seeking a creative, experienced, and highly organised individual to join our PSP-FP team. In this role, you will provide culturally responsive assessment, support, and case management to families at high risk of statutory child protection involvement or who are undergoing reunification with their children.

• Assessing families’ strengths and needs through home visits, deep and meaningful conversations with families and communication with other stakeholders

About You

• You are a proud Aboriginal person with deep cultural understanding, strong community connections, and a commitment to Aboriginal children, families and communities.
• Demonstrated case management experience with at-risk children and their families.
• Demonstrated understanding of child protection issues and an ability to conduct risk and family assessments using a strengths-based approach.
• Demonstrated ability to work with families in crisis and work in partnership with them to achieve their goals, using a variety of evidence-based intervention strategies.
• Demonstrated experience in supporting Aboriginal families using culturally safe and sensitive interventions.
• Commitment to ongoing training and development to ensure a broad range of evidence-based models as determined necessary by the program.
• Current NSW Working With Children’s Check.
• Current drivers licence.
