Under the L3Harris Communications Australia Global Field Services Team, the Specialist Field Engineer will work within the existing Mature Support Contract to the Commonwealth of Australia. This team is responsible for supporting the contract requirements for the provision of:
· training design, delivery and evaluation,
· maintenance support,
· software upgrade services,
· engineering support services,
· equipment installation services,
· equipment operation and support services, and
· planning and advice support.
The Specialist Field Engineer will be required to work as part of a team or as an individual to engage with the Commonwealth of Australian product end users and L3Harris Engineers, Sales Specialists, Program Managers and Account Managers. Based in Melbourne, Australia, with extensive domestic travel.
Responsibilities:
+ Provide field and office based technical support of RF Communications tactical radio equipment in the HF, VHF, UHF and SHF RF spectrum.
+ Provide guidance and training to customers in establishing operation, maintenance and inspection procedures and techniques.
+ Provide effective solutions and operational quality of system equipment .
+ Provides pre-sales or post-sale technical support of company products and systems.
+ Provide, present and interpret design, application and service information to sales staff and customers.
+ Support the design of minor systems to satisfy customer needs.
+ Assess and analyzes technical application of company products and competing equipment to meet customer needs.
+ Conduct the install, configure, operate, maintain, repair or modify customer equipment or software.
+ Analyze and troubleshoots equipment failures to determine cause and recommends and/or performs corrective action .
Qualifications and Skills:
+ Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or equivalent.
+ Military Communications experience essential.
+ Field engineering experience with tactical radio equipment including training, operation, fault finding and basic maintenance of military communications equipment.
+ Bachelor's Degree and prior relevant experience.
+ In lieu of a degree, extensive related experience.
+ Proven written and oral communication skills to provide reports and briefings to the customer.
Position Requirements:
+ Ability to be granted access to Commonwealth of Australia Defence facilities.
+ This position may require the ability to work independently over extended periods at isolated locations.
+ Experience in the operation and configuration of military tactical communication systems.
+ Experience in the troubleshooting of military tactical communication systems.
+ Experience in the use and operation of Battle Management Systems.
+ Must be physically able to move up to 20 kgs .

# Project Overview:
Bechtel has been engaged to provide EPCM services to replace three (3) existing bucketwheel reclaimers at Rio Tinto's Parker Point facility at Dampier in northwest Australia. The Project includes the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of the new bucketwheel reclaimers as well as design and construction of associated off-board scope, including earthworks, marine infrastructure, structural works and electrical upgrades to support the installation and operation of the new reclaimers. An opportunity exists within the Bechtel project team for an Electrical Field Engineer to oversee the E&I aspects of the site works.
# Job Summary:
In this role, you will provide project field engineering specialization and expertise with work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and subcontract coordination. Your recommendations will ensure field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements. As the Electrical Field Engineer, you will provide leadership on Electrical & Instrumentation construction engineering work for the Project.
# Major Responsibilities:
+ Acting as point of contact for coordination and resolution of technical issues related to E&I contractors on site.
+ Developing / reviewing work packages in support of the construction schedule.
+ Prepares construction drawings and sketches.

# Job Summary:

**Your role**
Regional technical support is required for Collins Aerospace Landing Systems wheel and brake customers in Australia, this is a remote job opportunity. This position is to provide continued support to Landing Systems wheel and brake airline customers and MROs in the region. The key objectives are to maintain the highest standards of customer support for future technical sales, campaigns, competitions, retrofit and technical support. Candidate must possess technical competencies, strong communication skills and be able to forge long standing relationships.
**Key responsibilities** :
+ Provide technical support and problem solving for aircraft wheels and brakes, brake control systems and wheel and brake repair and overhaul activities
+ Perform initial investigations (data gathering) of airline wheel and brake problem reports; assist with technical problem analysis (root cause identification and implementation of corrective actions)
+ Conduct maintenance training for airline and maintenance shop personnel
+ Provide front line support to Customer Support Engineering (CSE)
+ Gather and report component reliability data
+ Provide warranty support by investigating and adjudicating claims and issuing scrap certificates
+ Conduct consignment stock audits at customer sites as required
+ Support airline Regional Business Managers and the Airline Sales team
+ Organize and support UTAS senior management customer visits to the regions
+ Serve as local expert for B787 electro-mechanical brake system (EMBS) test equipment
+ Support landing gear Field Service with maintenance structural interventions as required
+ Provide engineering support to Landing Systems service centers
+ Provide temporary onsite support to Landing Systems Field Service worldwide as required
**Essential skills, attributes and experience:**
+ Bachelor's degree: Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent academic and experience
+ Minimum four (4) years' experience with design and/or maintenance of aircraft, aircraft systems or aircraft appliances or equivalent professional experience
+ Aircraft wheels and brake and landing gear experience considered an asset Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and ten (10) years' experience
+ Fluency in English
+ Previous exposure to airline maintenance activities

The primary role of a _Field Service Technician_ is to provide repair and preventative maintenance services for all Hach Process and Laboratory Analytical equipment while promoting customer satisfaction and maintenance contract growth across the region.
